I have bought five of these.. 2 ten foot, 2 six foot and one four foot. I have had them now for several months
Pros:
They stand up well to the wind, sun, and rain.
They create plenty of shade yet allow visibility beyond them.
Easy to roll up and down.
Quick and easy installation.
Nice hold downs with elastic line to allow stretching in the wind'
Well made and durable
Cons:
Non so far

The only hardware that was used out of the box was the plastic clips that are used to hold the blind in place when it's pulled down. The brackets may need to be adjusted depending on how you want to mount the shade. I used self tapping screws since most of the drilling had to be done in aluminium. So far it's holding up pretty well, I would recommend taking it down with winds above 40+ mph though.
Having to hand crank this thing up and down sucks.

Very High Quality - Account for Brackets in Width!

Ordered this to block sun at the end of my deck outside and it is very well suited for that. Very good quality construction and fabric and operation.
My only issue was the brackets with the "clutch" (raising and lowering mechanism) take up a few inches of room I wasn't planning on. I order d a 4' wide for a 50" wide space between the side of the house and deck post. I had to use my plunge tool to notch out the 6x6 post for the idle end to allow for extra width.
If you are mounting on the outsides of a space or from a ceiling mount you should be ok. If you are mounting between a fixed space like mine you need to double check your dimensions.
Also it comes standard with a right hand raising and lowering mechanism. Switching this to the left side is telatively easy but when reversing that mechanism ("clutch") it puts the eye you hook the control rod into on the back side. Just a note again depending on your space. It is also a little tight when raining and lowering with this control against a wall because of the hook on the control rod; you have to lift the rod upwards to keep the end of the hook from scraping the wall. If you are not going to be raising and lowering this frequently not an issue. If it was a daily action I would consider it a pain. Mine will be down mostly.
It also comes with nice little bungees and brackets for them to hold the bottom of the curtain down.
This is a very nice outdoor sun screen and I would recommend it!

One of the best I have found

We have been using the predecessor to this blind for several years. We bought a gazebo to add to our back yard and turned once again to these blinds. They are very good to block the sun and do allow some small amount of air to pass through. The fabric hold up very well out side and that is the main reason we returned to this blind for this purchase. Our other Coolaroo blinds that are the same color have been installed several years and look as good as the day we hung them.
These blinds have a couple of changes to the way they are made. The old ones had a nylon chain that would raise and lower the blind. This new blind has the crank as pictured. I was not sure if I would like this as well as the chain, but have found it to be better. The other change is the tie downs. The old ones had a metal loop that you could hook at the point you wanted the blind held in place. These are a large sail in the wind that is increased the more you lower them. This new design has a bungee type cord attachment at the end. I have not had them in any wind with this new design, but I think this new bungee will absorb some of the wind power and be an improvement as well.
Overall I am pleased with the blinds new and old.

Worth Every Penny Spent!

I've installed, on my deck, three of these shades of different sizes and so far love everyone of them! If they continue to hold up under use then they will be worth every penny spent! They block the sun and provide a very noticeable cooling effect to the deck.
