As advertised, works great

Great for attaching my handheld to large antenna outside. Ran antenna wire thru wall to antenna - great for your ham shack.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ORDER ... This does NOT FIT the TYT radios .... REQUIRES the MALE screw on connector !
Hoped it would be better

Was hopeful when I purchased these to replace a different brand of adapter that had broken in less than a year.

I bought two. One broke this morning. Just lifted up the radio and the wire came out or the SMA side. Disappointed.

I have the other on the end of my tape measure antenna I use for fox hunts. I am guessing with the active movement of that antenna, the other will go soon.
To be fair, if you are going to use these with a stationary system they will work ok...

I used them on my handheld with coax in the car, and both separated withing the first week, they slid out of the SMA connector..
I sense purchased the solid all meal adapters and they work better for moving applications..

Worked fine when new
Doug H.November 4, 2015
Worked fine when new. Unfortunately the SMA end came off after a couple weeks of use in the car to attach my HT to the mag mount antenna despite trying to be careful to grip the connector itself rather than using the cable to attach/detach. (Similar experience to others) The physical aspects of the crimped connectors on this small cable simply don't appear to be up to the rigors of regular handling. As a "permanent" attachment, it would be fine--provided you don't need a lot of power handling. (Unlikely with a HT anyway!) I liked the cable flexibility versus RG-58, but went with that for ruggedness.
