Came in alive with air holes, no problems but expensive

They were all alive, but they were a little on the small side

My order arrived at my local PO for pick up before I had a chance to track it. I ordered yesterday morning and picked it up this afternoon. OK, I'm only about 30 miles from Rainbow but the package had to go through 2 different huge USPS centers and then to my local PO. The worms were packaged in a clean, muslin bag with loosely crumpled newspaper, the bag was securely tied and shipped in a USPS box with air holes poked in it and a "Live Animals" label. I ordered "Medium" not knowing exactly what size they would be but having both purchased and raised mealworms since the late 1970s (for pet birds) I had an idea of how long they should be. The worms ranged from about 3/4 inch to about 1 1/4 inches long - just the size I wanted. They were lively and healthy and there were no dead, dry or otherwise bad looking worms in the bunch. I ordered 2,000 and there were a lot of them - but I didn't count them:-) This is the first time I've ordered directly from Rainbow but I've purchased Rainbow mealworms from pet stores and they were not in the same excellent condition the direct-order worms were in. I'll be ordering directly from Rainbow from now on.

All the worms were alive and packed well. Very healthy.
I'll definitely buy more from this vender.

I bought these to give chickens and they have reproduced well. I was actually able to give some to my best friend for her kids reptiles. We were very happy with our purchase!
