Awesome coat with plenty of pockets and warmth

Wore hunting in Ohio with temperatures less than zero degrees this winter. Awesome coat with plenty of pockets and warmth, and most importantly scent block.
This jacket has an identity crisis...

This jacket has an identity crisis. This jacket is neither mid season or late season, it is basically windbreaker with a super thick fleece vest. On mid season days your torso gets too sweaty, on late season days your arms get too cold. I'm going to have to buy a real late season jacket, and pay a tailor to make a slit for the tether. The sizing of the vest is a whole size smaller, the supposedly "medium" vest is very tight around the shoulders, it's as if the shell is a proper medium but the vest is literally a small that I can't even wear a sweater under. I'm not a huge guy at 5'10" and 145lbs, in what bizarro world is the vest possibly a medium? If you make the mistake of buying this jacket, make sure to buy a size larger than usual. The vest is poorly secured around the neck and waist, putting it on without tangling it up can be a chore. The zipper flaps on both arms don't close and get caught on stuff, not to mention the poorly covered zippers can easily rub against something making a perfect noise to scare all the deer away, but what they are for is a mystery to me. There are bizarre unexplained buckles inside the shell. that are very uncomfortable if the vest is out making the shell useless. And slipping in some card with bible verses into the pocket is a really bad marketing move, if you are hoping to sell your products anywhere outside the bible belt. I honestly can not recommend this jacket unless you get it out of the bargain bin for $50. This design is poorly thought out in every conceivable way, whoever designed this clearly does not live in a cold climate, it is very obvious to me why the company went bankrupt in 2017.
Cons:
Vest is a whole size too small, impossible to wear a sweater under.
Arctic weight vest but early season shell, equals sweaty torso and freezing arms.
Poorly secured vest, which just slides around and bunches up.
Mysterious zippers and flaps on forearms get caught on things, and make noise.
Bizzare clips in shell which aren't actually used for anything, making the shell uncomfortable to use without vest.
Ridiculous price.
Pros:
It's got a 2" slit in the back.
I can buy a $40 camo early season windbreaker, pay $20 to have a slot made in the back, use a generic $10 pullover fleece, and spray it down with any generic scent block. I can pay $70 for a system that is warmer and easier to use than what they are selling for $239 retail. Hey, but it's got a cool looking label...

Very nice jacket. Pretty warm for fall archery hunting and is extremely comfortable. The only thing I wish is that I got a size up. Otherwise I highly recommend this jacket.
Couldn't be happier

Bought this to go with my Tree Spider ripstop bibs. The hole in the back for the harness is in the perfect location and the removable fleece lining makes it an all season jacket. Scent blocker has earned my business for life. You get what you pay for.
