Super thin!! I ended up buying manilla file folders and cutting my own dividers out. Even five of these put together are not as sturdy as one manilla divider. Terrible for actually dividing!! They are effective for simply sorting each card though. I cut the bottom off of them all so that they were only as tall as regular index cards and used them between my manilla dividers for a double tier organization system.

I absolutely love these! I had to cut down the top a little so they would fit in my photo box which sucks, but manageable. I will totally order more of these in the future. My package included 12 of each color (I couldn't find this info when I was looking). They are made just like index cards, so the work great.
