I got caught in the frenzy and hoopla about this product. "It's great...it's clean...smells wonderful...your gun stays clean..." I used it...let's face it, it has "secret" ingredients, but I believe it's mostly just wax, bees wax, car wax, whatever. If you want to use wax in your gun, use Pledge or a good Carnuba wax, it's cheaper and easier to use. Some people swear by it, they will kill you if you speak bad about this. I say, use it at your own risk. The best thing I did was, see this for what it is, and stopped using it. Sure, if you have a Glock, Sig, HK or other high end gun and it's already broken in, you will think that there is no difference from oil and yes, your gun will stay cleaner. But these guns have high tolerance for wear and will work for sometime even without any lubrication. I say don't be fooled by that, they will wear, because you have no lubrication. Whatever you do with it, DONT use it to break-in a new gun! Nothing will take the place of petroleum based cleaning and lubrication.

This stuff is by far the best lubrication and solvent I've used. If you follow the instructions, clean the metal, and then heat it before you apply, then the product will work amazingly. Even racking the slide on the pistol or bolt on the rifle feels smooth. Each time you fire the weapon afterword the heat then causes the treated area to self lubricate. Many people try the product without heat treating the metal first and it fails. It is designed as a treatment to operate best when heated. The metal expands and the FrogLube is absorbed into the heated area after it cools. This is the only way the product will work as intended.

Great stuff! Bought a new gun, was dry and jammed a bit. Cleaned and treated with Frog Lube and good as new, but the good kind, where the gun fires instead of locks up! And it has a minty fresh smell, so every time I open my gun safe, its like I'm brushing my teeth, with a gun...!?

This stuff is garbage. Do not spend your hard earned money on this junk. I wasted $24 on it and because the stuff is vegetable oil based it will turn to a nasty grease substance that smells awful and will slow the functioning of your firearm down. Don't use this product. I wish I could get my money back. A $24 lesson well learned.

My introduction to the frog lube family of products. I feel it has worked great for my applications. My significant other approves of the smell over previous gun cleaning products I've used. I've since replaced all my gun cleaning products with frog lube.
