Works as intended. My front door is heavy and self closing. The old doorknob is getting loose. I wanted something to help extend the life of the handle set by removing some stress.

Nice quality, well made solid brass. I stripped off the lacquer for a natural finish, it was pretty easy with lacquer thinner.
