Bought as a birthday gift-- friend loved it. She told me the directions were easy to follow and the product was high-quality.
This is not as easy as I would have believed

This is not as easy as I would have believed. I have been playing with advanced cooking techniques for a while and even still I lacked the tools to get this assembled properly. The provided simple tools were laughable and ineffective at achieving the accuracy needed to deliver caviar. The foam didn't stand up, I ended up using gelatin & nitrous to get a good foam that lasted.
Over rated gimmick with little (expired) materials.

I was fairly meticulous in my attempt. However, nothing I made seemed to come out as big as in the pictures. The cavier was tiny, the 'eggs' were ridiculous. You do NOT get much material with this. I did give a third star because the slotted spoon was nice. But more materials and possibly 2 ice trays are necessary for this to be rated any higher.
I took the third star back away, however - all of my materials were expired by at least 2 months. This may have contributed to the poor performance, but I can't really imagine these chemicals degrading that much.
