I was hopeful with all the great reviews, but...
Donavan•August 11, 2017
I wanted to like this, I really did. It had all the specs and features I was looking for at a great price, and I was really hopeful with all the positive reviews - but mine was DOA. I unboxed it and hooked it up via 1/4" from my mixer and it was incredibly distorted at any volume. I then tried the mp3 line in from my cell phone to rule out anything with my mixer and/or 1/4" cable, to the same result. I guess I just got a lemon. It's too bad as it looks and feels pretty solid too. I bought a different stage monitor, hooked it up the exact same way, and it worked just fine. This was my first venture into Seismic Audio which is unfortunate. I emailed them and will obviously be returning it. Dang :(
Works great so far

The monitor works well for my application. I'm using it in my home studio, performance room as the drum monitor. I've got volume most of the way up on the speaker and the board to use it in this application, the EQ is a little sketchy, I typically leave it flat and adjust at the board. Works great so far. Good value and adequate level as far as I've tested so far. Haven't tested in a live sound reinforcement situation yet.
Five Stars

Love it. Amazing sound quality!
Solid piece of equipment. Sounded great live.

just gigged with this last Saturday night in a noisy packed out club. This thing handled all the vocals and instruments, including kick and snare. And it did so flawlessly! Seriously, it was able to cut thru all the noise in that place. It's very lightweight, yet durable. Great for live sound. The only thing is be sure you use a good "low noise" cable. I tested it out of the box with a standard guitar cable and it had an annoying buzz to it. Then I tried a brand new live wire instrument cable and the noise was gone. You can plug either an XLR or a standard 1/4" cable in it, again, just be sure it's a good quality cable.
