First in importance is to note that this outlet strip does NOT have built-in surge protection and that is exactly why I chose it over several other similar ones from other companies. Why?

My use for it is to clamp to my stereo cabinet to reduce cable clutter and to make it easier to reach certain plugs. A side benefit is with everything in the cabinet plugged into one outlet strip that's clamped to the actual cabinet I only have to unplug one cord to move the entire cabinet for cleaning under and behind it.

So, if I'm plugging expensive electronic components into it why wouldn't I want a surge protector? Because you should NEVER plug one surge protector into another surge protector and my intent is to plug this clamp-on one into a high power high quality surge protector.

The idea of a clamp-on power strip is brilliant. This one isn't from a major brand name but it's the only one of this style that doesn't have built-in surge protection. It is plastic but well made and the outlets are well spaced to use power adapter transformers, plus the outlets are oriented so that oddly shaped plugs don't interfere with each other, you'd be surprised how many companies get this wrong. A bonus is that they include two USB powered ports which is perfect for my home entertainment accessories like Bluetooth adapters that are powered by USB.

Mass-produced things aren't perfect and there is always a chance for a defect. That doesn't mean the product or the brand is bad. Before I trust any power strip I perform this simple test. I plug in a small inexpensive continuity tester Sperry Instruments GFI6302 GFCI Outlet / Receptacle Tester, Standard 120V AC Outlets to each receptacle and wiggle it. If the test lights don't flicker I know the wiring inside the strip is secure. If there is any flicker I know there may be a loose wire and I return the product for replacement. By the way, I have only once ever found an outlet box to be defective, the chances are pretty rare.

Although this isn't a major brand name it is well made and a good value. I like it.

This works great. No more bending over to plug in the lights. When your old that's important. And the lighted step makes it easy to find in the dark.
Perfect.

This product is perfect. It is the right length and color. The best things about it are excellent design features--the placement of the switch is the proper distance from each end of the cord so as to it make easily accessible to the user while also making it the correct distance from the wall socket and the tree plug, as well as the large lighted switch which is an outstanding safety feature. The two other cords I ordered are nowhere near approaching the quality and performance of this one.
Beware!

This is for the Uninex 3 outlet power strip. Part # PS28U. Very cheap. One of the outlets wouldn't work until I gave a little twist to the cord that went into the base of the outlet body, then it would work on and off. Put a volt meter on the outlet and and plugged it in. The voltage would come and go as I slightly moved the cord. It's obvious that the connection is loose inside the body. This seems dangerous to me! I'll throw both in the trash for safety's sake. Not worth the hassle of sending them back. Don't buy, not worth the risk.
Avoid going out in the rain to turn off deck lights...

Works well. I have it plugged into a 50 ft string of lights strung over my deck - and so I use it to turn the lights on and off from inside the house. Much easier than plugging and unplugging the light string, especially when I've already changed into my PJ's and its raining out there.. The remote works well when standing inside and reasonably close (20 ft). Wish it had a bit more power to go through the walls, but it meets my needs. Also (in my dreams) wish that I could purchase several of these and set them to either different or the same frequencies depending on my need.
