My grandson looked adorable in this outfit. Picture day was a success! It fit him perfectly. Well made but obviously not for every day wear due to the lightweight material. Would buy again.

This outfit was absolutely gorgeous! I am completely in love with how my Godson looked in it for his photoshoot. However, I did have to purchase a 12 month old size in order for him to fit (i had previously read the reviews and many people mentioned that the size ran very small). My godson is 6 months, and was about to turn 6 months at the time of the purchase, but I purchased a 12 month old size due to the comments and thank god that I did. He almost did not even fit into the one i did purchase, but it fit him just right for the photos. :)
I say buy it! but beware that it runs very small. So double if not triple in size.

Great Photo Outfit. Does run a little small.

We purchased this for our just turned 2 year old son's pictures. He's only a little larger than average (67th percentile in height, and roughly 55th percentile in weight). Based on some of the other reviews, we went ahead and ordered him a 3T, and we are glad that we did. It fit him well, and gives a little room to grow.
We were a little nervous about buying a "photo outfit" on-line, but man did this really turn out well. You get two pairs of suspendors that come with the set. A basic brown one, and the one shown in the pictures, that has some color to it, and gives it some personality. I prefered the one shown over the basic brown. Just be a bit careful when adjusting the suspendors, as the fabric was able to be grabbed really easily, and if you force it, you are going to get some threads pulled out of whack.
We got our son dressed up, and took an old red radio flyer tricycle in as a prop. The photographer loved it, and the pictures came out phenominal, and looked very cool in both full color and sepia.

Darling! Just read a bunch of reviews to figure out what size to buy.

This little outfit is absolutely adorable and was perfect for our son's one year portraits. The quality of special occasion outfits for boys in general is not the best, but this is better than others I've seen. It actually made it through the wash with all buttons in tact! It is true that the suspenders are ribbon-like, but they are so darling (just make sure you adjust them beforehand if you are going to be in a time crunch while getting baby dressed). Ours actually came with a spare set of more functional suspenders, but I'm not sure if that's the standard. Most important thing: sift through the reviews to get a good idea on sizing before you order! Our son is in the 50th percentile at 12 months old. He's 22lbs and 29.5" tall and the 24 month size fit him perfectly.
Justified the poor quality by cuteness! Order 2 sizes up, and reinforce suspenders with a few stitches before wearing!

I purchased this knickers outfit after reading many, many mixed (mostly negative) reviews about it. I desperately wanted to put my son in a cute, old-fashioned knickers set for Easter! I read the reviews about these running very small, and about them being of poor quality and easily tearing or ripping. I still decided to order them for my 18 month old, figuring this was maybe the only year I could get him to wear these without making him look totally dorky....
First of all, SUPER CUTE outfit when on! My son wears true to 18 month size clothes and I bought him a 2T (which was two sizes up, skipping the 24 months size). It fit just perfectly! The shirt was almost a little too short to keep tucked in but it stayed in when my son stayed still...... The knickers fit just right. The hat (as other reviewers stated) was a tad big, but I just positioned it more towards the back of his head and it stayed on (while he allowed it.) As other reviewers stated, the suspenders are super cheap quality. They seem like an embroidered strip of fabric. They are very pretty and help give the outfit a little "life" and color, but the threads pulled super easily, and unfortunately, by the time we got to church Easter morning, one side of the suspenders had broken! I think they are merely wrapped through the slot of the clasp and then glued down to itself. This could be fixed if you take these out ahead of time, and do a simple stitch across them. Even with that done though, the 'adjuster' part of the suspenders that helps to lengthen/shorten them, is not strong enough to actually clasp down and hold the length. They have such a loose hinge that they just flap up and down and don't "close tight" enough on the suspender.
Because the shirt is an 'off-white', I didn't want to just use white knee high socks, so I searched all over for a toddler size of "ivory" or "off-white" knee high/knicker sock. Most sites only had girly socks with a ruffle or bow at the top, or any plain ones didn't come in a toddler size or off-white. I finally found some at Dapperlads.com for $6 (but double that with shipping costs). I ordered the "yellow" and wrote in the comments how difficult it was to find some that would match this ivory outfit and how happy I was that this company had some! Thankfully I wrote that note, because a lady called me after I placed my order and said she thinks I was getting the wrong color and I should go with the 'bisque' color if I was hoping to match it to ivory, as the yellow color was actually a stronger 'yellow' than the subdued color it shows on their site. So 3 cheers for dapperlads and their customer service!! I would have ended up with expensive, ugly yellow socks if she had not taken the time to call!
In summary, this outfit was so cute on my son it was worth it to me to deal with the size issues, and the lack of quality issues. However, I don't know why, for the price of this outfit, this company couldn't make higher quality suspenders. If you are set on an outfit like this, since there aren't many other options out there, I suggest buying at least one-to-two sizes up, and either replacing the suspenders with real ones, or take a little time before the outfit is worn to strengthen them with a little sewing and/or new parts!
