They don't leak, last as long as the "high priced alternative" and don't tear when lifting out of the trash compactor. The only complaint I have is that there aren't "pre-punched" holes to secure the bag and keep it from slipping. I understand it's a "generic bag" and fits multiple compactors, many of which don't have 'buttons in the same place" so I understand the reason these bags aren't pre-punched.

Edited: I no longer think they're a great fit. I swear the more I use, the smaller/tighter/harder the bags are to get around the dang canister. To the point where I may have shaken the crap out of my machine after hurting myself trying to get the bag on lol. Then of course the bag rips a little when I finally do get it on... they still hold trash though so that's why I'm giving it 3 stars.

Great fit and sturdy. Have noticed that my trash doesn't smell as bad which I've decided must be the microban in the bag? I thought it might be an issue that the bags don't have drawstrings, but it hasn't been an issue.

I bought this based on reviews after using Costco's Kirkland Signature bags and Lowe's "Style Selections" bags - both with drawstrings. These bags are thicker plastic and I don't have the tears and leaky little holes as much, so I like that. However, they seem to not stay tight, and push down into my 15-year old GE trash compactor often. I am frequently pulling it up. This wasn't a problem with my previous two brands.

I ran out of trash compactor bags and I decided to search and see what bags were out there. I came along these bags and the price was fantastic, so I decided why not give them a try. Compared to the name brand I use to purchase these bags are just as good if not better. The quality is excellent. They fit my Kenmore trash compactor well. I have to admit, I dislike taking the trash out, so I compact until nothing fits in. So with the bag crammed filled there was no tears or rips on that bag. I found my new trash compactor bags. There are no pre cut out holes for securing it to the compactor side,but that's not a problem. I just make them myself so it stays secure in the compactor. I found the bags to be thick in quality. So far these bags are holding up extremely well for garbage. I will be purchasing more of these bags. A fantastic buy.

As the typical garbage bag is is relatively thin and flimsy, I had to find something sturdy enough to put stuff into them for the cargo box on top of my car. I saw these on Amazon and decided to try them. For my last road trip, I used them to carry things I was taking to my sister-in-law. These included pillows, towels, bedsheets, cushions, etc. These bags protected them well during the trip despite being in the cargo box. Moreover, the bags kept the contents dry despite the rain we had to deal with while unloading from our car to the new residence. I realize that this is not the purpose of the compactor bags but I found them perfect for my needs.
