Padded cups, good fabric
LN✓ Verified Purchase•July 2, 2018
This swimsuit has padded cups (no nippage)! I am usually a size zero or 2 and gambled a bit when I ordered a size 6 site unseen. Size 6 fits fine and has a bit extra fabric. Size 4 would probably also fit but I prefer to have extra breathing room in my bathing suits, and plus it's easier to take off after swimming. I have used this swimsuit for about six months, and it has seen a heavily chlorinated gym pool twice to thrice a week and so far has held up just swimmingly (haha, couldn't resist). I hand wash after each use. Although there are cheaper brands out there, I like Speedo's fabric which seems to be more durable.
It was a little tight but I like them that way because swimming suits always stretch over ...

I bought this a couple of months ago. Here is my review:

I'm 5'10 and weight 165 pounds approximately. I swim at least 3-4 times a week minimum and I bought a size 10. It was a little tight but I like them that way because swimming suits always stretch over time. If you are following my description to buy your own, and you don't like it too tight then go up a size.
The swimming suit is pretty comfortable and I love the pads for the breast section. I also bought the black and white one and it gives the body a nice shape. So far, I like it and I'm pretty confortable swimming in it. I might take a picture soon.

Speedo powerflex Eco with hydro bra

I have purchased several of these suits over the past few years, and I want to address the complaints that it runs small. I am 5'5", 115 pounds, and a D/DD cup. I wear size 6 clothes and--wait for it--size 6 in this suit. Friends, this suit is a lap suit, meaning it was made for lap swimming. Is it snug? Yes. Do I have to wriggle into it? A bit. Do I have to wriggle out of it, when it's wet? Absolutely. The suit is supposed to be snug. It is supposed to hold you in while you're swimming so there is very little drag. Your boobs and rolls will not flop around in it. You will be smiling inside when you feel yourself gliding through the water. Your arms and legs will be free to do their thing because the straps won't hurt, your parts won't jiggle, and hey, you'll feel strong. Until it starts to wear out, which, if you're a regular swimmer, will happen in a few short months. The layers will start to separate, the fabric will start to sag, your boobs once again will be lumpy. Then you will be looking on Amazon for another one because you will remember how good it felt. Enjoy.
Favorite suit for lap swimming--but measure for these sizes, not your normal clothing size!

I just ordered my 3rd or 4th of this suit (I swim laps 2 days a week and the suits start to get baggy after about 6 months). This is the perfect suit--the fabric is substantial and the built-in bra with soft cups provides more support and coverage and modesty. I'm 37 and want a suit that is athletic and supportive, and all the options at my local sporting goods store seemed to be designed either for pre-pubescent teenagers or older women. This is the perfect in-between option. I notice some people have complained about the sizing--I recommend measuring yourself as per the chart and ordering a couple of sizes so you try on and return what doesn't fit. These do run small. I wear a 4 or 6 in clothes and an 8 in these suits; I think that's because most clothing brands use vanity sizing and these suits do not. ;) Also, I want my new suits to be quite snug when I try them on, because they are going to stretch when wet and continue to stretch over time. You don't want it to dig into your skin a lot, but you do want it tight if you're going to be swimming a lot. If you buy a suit that fits perfectly when you try it on, I find that when you get out of the pool you will see it wrinkling and sagging in ways you don't like.
Great Suit, No headlights!

Now that I have access to an olympic-size pool at university, I wanted to get an athletic-type suit to swim laps to switch up my workouts. My criteria were as follows: it had to be comfortable, modest and suitable for lap-swimming (ie not flimsy or over-exposed), flattering, and allow me to emerge out of the pool not feeling self-conscious that my nipples were showing through the thin, wet material. A lot of suits, Speedo ones included, say they have "shelf bras" but that may still mean nothing and reviewers of the suits I was considering were not explicit, so I'm going to be explicit here:
Some say that if you wear your suit tight enough and the suit is lined, headlights are not an issue, and some (pro-swimmers and athletes mostly) just don't care. I don't care for either of these camps and was looking for coverage. I actually bought another speedo suit I'm returning that said shelf bra and all it was was a piece of elastic under where the boobs would go, same lining and thickness as the rest of the suit, so completely useless. This one right here is perfect because it has a shelf bra with foam cups inside (not ugly or super obvious ones that fold, move around, or show though as in some suits) that keeps you tight, covered, and shielded from the nipple issue. Some ladies might say this gives them some extra shape, rather than the typical flat pancake swimmer look. I beg to differ, I look equally flat with the foams (I'm a small B), but I could care less as long as I get the coverage I need (there's a time and place for cute swimsuits). I'm typically a size 4 in clothing, ordered a size 8 in the suit per most reviewers suggestions and am perfectly satisfied. The elastic does not bind so tightly that I get squeezed thighs or lower back fat popping through the cut-outs so its flattering. The colors are not great, but the lines play an optical illusion of a tapered waist and make it flattering so this gets bonus points for me. Thumbs up! I found my suit. Highly recommend!
