For my son's 9th bday he wanted a Minecraft Theme and we couldn't find ANY party supplies for Minecraft so we had to just purchase random things minecraft and then get creative. We purchased this set and my 9 year old son had fun putting it together. At first it was a bit complicated for him to do alone, but once we figured it out together he was able to put them together without my help. We used these as CAKE TOPPERS! And just purchased a pre-made carvel cake and put these on top! It was such a huge hit at the party. And I felt proud that I had made it! hehehe

Great add-on set. The paper quality is great, nice and thick. Once you get the process down of assembling the blocks it's pretty easy, even my 6y/o could do them. The guys are a little more challenging to get together, and found they stayed together better with a little clear tape. The track pieces only stay together well if you are on a very flat surface, doesn't work well on carpet. The wheels on the cart were tricky, but nothing some clear tape couldn't fix! I have 2 wild boys, 6 and almost 4 y/o, so these get abused pretty well. Many pieces have been stepped on and most of the time you can bend them back and refold them again(a litle clear tape helps!). I bought this for Christmas present and purchased with the Deluxe pack and the Hostile Mob pack.

My kids loved this, as they love all Minecraft. I though it would take me hours to help them put it all together but it went faster than expected. Still, I would allow almost an hour to make all the "boxes". The paper is pretty thick so it made it through some pretty rough play. It comes with tape that matches the different rock/brick/wood and that was a nice touch. Steve did not stay together as long as the boxes did but he had more parts and with two boys, he was was played with a lot. After about a year I did throw it all away. What was left took up so much room I was just ready to get rid of it. It was fun while it lasted though!

Minecraft seems to be all the rage with the elementary school kids today and this product definitely does not disappoint. I bought this set for a 7 year old boy who loves minecraft and crafting in general. Once made, the paper cubes are actually fairly large so when he was building with them it was rather impressive. The variety of blocks included gives children endless possibilities to create which is a huge pro when you are trying to keep a little boy entertained for hours. There was even a block that was supposed to resemble a window and it was actually made out of what looked like plastic instead of paper. This made it all the more life-like. Great product and wonderful purchase for the kiddos!
