So I've had this for a little over a month. It has been bear tested and it was successful in keeping the bear out of the garbage. Point for garbage can! Just make sure you chain it to something or the bear will drag it off somewhere to spend more meaningful time with it.
However, the top latch has become a little finicky. Now you need to ensure the latch is locked and closed or else it is brunch time for the bears. I'd wish the latch just always closed when you put the top down instead of every once in a while closed but not fully latched.

Oh this is perfect!!!! Due to a very dry spring there were no berries or choke cherries in our area. We now have pretty cold temps and the bear are hungry and they are hunting for food. We had a bear or two visit last night,but they did not get into our Toter. Love it,no longer am I picking garbage up all over the ground. Thanks.Nancy

It's a bear proof trashcan....and I'm amazed it keeps the raccoons out!! I could see their little muddy paw prints on the can's lid and on the latch that keeps it locked. What a relief to not have trash all over.
