Holding off a little until I finish my first afghan

I have mixed feeling there are a lot of plus and a few negatives, you will have to watch a few videos and find what works best for you. I am a knitter so for me it is faster to knit but this does look better on the edges where using needles may leave them loose. It does keep the stitches close together and you won't have the separation between stitches that you may have with needles. I have tried everything I know to make the stitches looser but so far am having issues pulling the yarn over each hook. As you go around there is a little issue with turning but the loom is small enough to turn around as you go. It might be easier to use on a table and not your lap. This is the first time I have used it and it does seem to be made of good quality and I believe it will hold up for years of use. For me it would be faster to just knit but I am holding my full review for when I get through with the afghan. It will take me a while to finish this since I have trouble with my hands I have to take more breaks than if I just knitted or crochet.
The only negative that I have seen so far is that it will take longer to make something and it isn't easy to slip the yarn over the hooks as the videos I have seen make it. For right now I am just trying to get through knitting but do plan on trying cable stitches etc later on. I also feel it would be easier and nicer to knit a sweater, jacket and things giving you a more defined look with better ends than knitting does. I have made sweaters before and always have the ends with big holes in the last stitch. I am very interested to see how easy it will be to make a sweater and the outcome of the look of it. Scarves would be easy and look very nice done from this loom so I don't see paying for another loom when you can do so much on this one.
I will update as I go along and make different things.

Lots of Hooks

The media could not be loaded. My daughter wanted to make a larger pancho like project.
After looking at many reviews, she chose this one. It wasn't the largest - but had the best ratings of the larger sizes.
The middle parts have a lot of "give" to them. Awkward as your project becomes heavy.
Hooks are very close together and makes it a challenge to get the hooks done quickly.
She liked the resulting project.

Nearly perfect

One high negative is that it does not have a way to hold the yarn in place when looping over the stitches. Wish this had the top design hook on the pegs like Boye knitting looms have.
One high positive is that it has a nice amount of pegs that even allows the use of the two circle parts = two projects at once.

I have a large wooden knitting loom that I have worked throws etc. on but wanted something easier to move with. All my knitting Looms are lap situated. This is less awkward to work with and I love it. I keep three to four projects going and I also weave. I like to have at least two large knitting projects going and the addition of this knitting loom allows that. I am very happy with the purchase.
Love the ease of it

I love the Afghan loom. It was easy to learn and makes it easier than needles. I would buy it again, quality is excellent.
