This is much, much better than the cheap pull bar sold in kits at the box store. I had a challenging install and this made it much easier. I could close gaps across long stretches from either wall. I managed a very snug install across all joints.

I still, however, found the small cheap bars helpful for tight spots. This bar is too big once you get up against walls.

The trick for using this with laminate is to ensure you're setting the bar above the tongue/groove. If you apply force to the tongue/groove area, it will crush the composite wood and won't mate correctly.

This tool really made me totally upset. I was unaware that there was a tool like this. For years I have used the far inferior little black bar. This bar is incredible and works so great. Really helps to install laminate and would never use anything else.

This bar is a good heavy duty product that does not bend or break like the ones from the "kits" you can buy. Where those bend after just a few blows this one kept its shape. The only drawback for this product is the advertised "adjustable" feature. It adjusts by using one, two or three magnets attached to the bottom of the bar to hold it level. Only problem is that what they call magnets are actually cheap pieces of material that can not adhear to the metal bar. To keep these in place I had to tape them on the bar. The magnets need to be much stronger. Overall a good product without the adjustable "magnets".

I've done floors with the cheap little puller you can buy at the home improvement stores and now with this tool. After using this puller, I don't know how I or anyone get through it without one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Money well spent.

I waited to buy this tool until half-way through the installation of my engineered hardwood floors. Big mistake. Suck it up. Spend the cash. You will use this thing. A lot. Definitely well worth the investment!
