These mats last forever when cared for properly! These mats are very comfortable for kids and in my observation they sleep very comfortable on them. They are very easy to clean and storing them is even easier with the easy ability to fold them up. I've used crib sheets for covers and cleaned with alcohol wipes. Would totally recommend this mat!

My Kindergartner loves her new nap mat. Most mats are only 5/8" thick and have a thin mil plastic covering. The thin mil plastic tears easily and generally has to be taped several times to get through the year. This one seems much more durable. We'll see if it can last the year, but from the feel of the plastic, if it doesn't last out the year nothing will.

I also love the extra thickness of this mat. I didn't want my little girl to feel like she was sleeping against the floor like you do with those 5/8" mats. The way the measuring works is if it says it is a 1" mat, it is actually only 5/8" of foam. If it advertises 2" like this one, you get 1-1/2" of foam thickness. That makes it pretty much like lumber measurements, so it's good to know before you buy.

While this will take up twice the storage space of the thinner mats, it is much higher quality and will provide better support and comfort for your child.

Hint, You can use a King-size pillow case to slip over the mat as a covering, and it is usually roomy enough to allow the child to use it as a sleeping bag.
