Have had plastic bender board in my yard for years. It was held in place with the plastic stakes made to hold it. Because it had been rolled up when I bought it I could never get the kinks out and it was perennially crooked. Yearly freezing and thawing of the ground loosened the stakes and made it worse. I put these rebar TENT STAKES in every eight to ten feet and bolted them to the bender board after stretching it to be as straight as possible. Then put the plastic stakes back in between to stabilize it and keep the kinks out. It's straight now, looks great (finally) and is there to stay! As I said.....Wahooooo o o o o o!!!!!!!!
I'd recommend taking some tennis balls or glow sticks with you ...

These things are very durable. I'd recommend taking some tennis balls or glow sticks with you so you don't trip over them at night, and vice grips to get them out of the ground when leaving.

these are very sturdy stakes, only had two of twelve bend upon driving into the ground. Removing them proved to be a challenge as they held into the ground extremely well when placed at a slight angle. Perhaps don't need to drive soo far into ground but was afraid of tripping hazzard if not.

These are fantastic!!!! First using rebar as a stake isn't new, I have done it for years. Even bent them at the end for a tie loop. The problem was that bend didn't give you a flat end to hammer them into the ground. These come with a welded loop for rope(haven't had one break off yet) They are heavily coated with an anti rust material so no more black or rust coated hands like with the rebar purchased at Lowes. The plus is that they are not much more expensive than the crude rebar purchased at building supply stores.
I use them for anchoring a 10 x 20 car canopy, posts and various plantings such as trees. As tent pegs they might be overkill but hey they should outlast any storm or hurricane. Plan on trying the 1/2 inch ones as well. I did not receive any fin. benefit from this reriew.
