Seem to illuminate nicely. I tend to use them as DRL's on a motorcycle. A bit too bright at night for oncoming traffic. I will be attenuating mine while on low-beam. Going to use a PWM circuit board, and a relay to override (go full output) on high-beam.
Great lighting for only 0.8A each!

Love 'em! Oh wait, water damage.

These are holding up excellently on the forks of my V-strom as aux lights. Love 'em!
EDIT: Bought these in April 2016. In February 2017, one of the two died, so I'm reducing from 5 to 3 starts. I opened it up and saw some bad corrosion. Looks like it wasn't as waterproof as I had hoped. I've been motorcycle-commuting, sometimes in heavy rain, with these so they definitely got super wet. I will buy one more and hope it was a fluke.

Better than the expensive brands

I installed an expensive Trail Tech LED system on my motorcycle about 1 year and 3 months ago. One of the lights burnt out and Trail Tech wouldn't honor their warranty because they'd stopped making the model of light about a year ago (so the "lifetime" warranty apparently lasted all of... 3 months). They insisted I pay them $100+ for a new light, which would again come with a "lifetime" warranty. No thanks. Trail Tech lost my trust and I couldn't justify taking an expensive risk on another shoddy light, so I started researching alternatives.
I found this TMH light and I'm wildly impressed by it. It's brighter than the burnt-out Trail Tech light that it replaced and it works flawlessly.
There are two minor downsides: First, you need to solder your own connections onto the wires (brown = red, blue = black, test before soldering). I have a soldering iron and the job only took a few minutes. Second, I've seen sturdier mounting brackets. However, the included mount has been totally adequate for off-road use.
Given the price, this light is a clear winner. I've already suggested these lights to my friends. Whenever I need to replace or install auxiliary lights, I'm going to quickly and happily repeat this purchase.

A Dark Outcome, then some light in sight

Original review- OK, I am not am amateur electrically and know how to hook up a 12vdc led and not blow the light {I have even built my own LED lights with LEDs, the proper resistor, transformers and other wiring}. But this light did not work right out of the box. [Note: I bought several other similar (different type/brand) led lights at the same time to test on my motorcycle and all of them worked fine upon hookup.] But I did strip the last 1/2 inch of insulation off the wire ends to hook it up so I figure it is not returnable. It did not cost much so I did not lose much.
Update: After the above review I was contacted by the seller who offered to replace the light unit. I agreed and he/they shipped me another one. As expected, this unit arrived packed very well with both 'factory' foam packaging inside a box and that inside a Amazon box with airbags. Of course the first thing I tried was hooking it up to a 12 volt dc motorcycle battery which was hooked up to a maintainer. It worked and seemed to put out quite a bit of light based on its size of LED. I know a couple of reviews have said theirs were not bright but when I shined it towards me a second I was blinded for several seconds...that's pretty bright to me. I left it on for over 24 hours and it was OK.
Others have commented on the mounting bracket. It is flimsy but I had a solution. I mixed up a batch of JB Weld and installed/epoxied the bracket permanently in place, with the tiny attachment screw snug, not tight since others had stripped it out. Mounted it on my motorcycle as a driving light (better vision for me but the MAIN reason was more lights to alert the sheeple in their rolling cages that HERE IS A MOTORCYCLE, don't pull out in front of it [which is a major cause of motorcycle accidents!]
The roads I ride on are asphalt country roads with lots of patches so it is not a smooth ride which is a test for finding looseness or flaws in hardware or wiring. Remember, the bracket I made and mounted on my motorcycle has a lot to do with it too. The lights mount is good as long as it is mounted on a good base. Poor base then the light mount will fail so be careful what you blame.. I have over 400 miles on the light and it still shines bright. Time will tell and if I have problems I will revise the review. I did not give it 5 stars because of the problems I had with the first light.
But I do want to say something to others reading this review and considering these lights...I am not one to give high stars where they are not deserved (like so many reviews I read, some people you could give them a broken cup and they would give it 5 stars!). It's a low cost light and only 10 watts, if you want 100% quality and perfection and a light that can be seen a mile away, you can spent many times more and get something else to start with. You get what you pay for. Perhaps you really want the $300.00 PIAA lights?
Note, after I got the replacement I took apart the 'broken' light just to see the guts. It actually seems to be fairly well designed n made for the low price we are paying for it. Maybe a little more quality control or component upgrade and this will be a good light with all five star reviews

No reason not to!

Great little light. I use them as reverse lights on my jeep. Bright enough and certainly durable. The little screw on the light is not a problem. Just hold the piece while turning the screw or it will slowly back out causing the screw to strip. You will understand what I mean when you start to tighten the screw. The lock washers hold the bolt and light in place on the mount. No issues there unless you didn't use it. Not sure why others have struggled with it.
