Use JB-Weld or similar on Mounting piece to prevent wobbling.
John Schmidt•April 13, 2017
Nice, Bright white flood Light for off road biking. Very Bright! As noted by other buyers, the mounting point to the light itself is not very snug and the bolt used to hold the two pieces together seems very cheap. My solution to this was to fill the whole area with JB Weld and then screw it together, letting it sit overnight. No more wobbling around, and feels much more secure.
Poor Machining Quality
David•April 7, 2017
I purchased 4 of these lights. All are bright with a gentle center spot and good diffusion otherwise. However, fit and finish is poor -- mounting holes were drilled incorrectly, with some not threaded at all. After mounting and some normal vibration, the single screw which mounts the light housing to the base loosens and cannot be tightened.
Typical Chinese junk. Purchase at your own discretion.

I modified this light to fit in the low beam ...

I modified this light to fit in the low beam of my trailtech X2 dual sport headlight for my dirtbike. It has come in very handy when night riding with my buddies. When the trails dusty, the halogen light just magnifies the dust at night. Switching just the LED on makes a huge difference. For some reason, the dust isn't illuminated and you can see the trail. I had to file most of the fins of the back to work, and haven't had any melting of the plastic housing on my headlight. The front of the light gets hotter than the housing.
Bright and sturdy

This appears to be constructed of cast aluminum with stainless brackets. Nothing fancy but solid and adequate. It makes a surprising amount of light, enough to get me home if the headlight should fail. (These compare favorably to a friend's $300 Denali 10 watt running lights.) I have a pair of these mounted on a motorcycle as daytime running lights and I'm easy--even annoying--to see coming. Just what I want on a bike--to be hard not to notice. They also appear to be durable. An identical pair I bought on ebay two years ago is going strong on my old touring bike.
Don't buy unless you have tools and spare time.

Bright enough. Ordered 4 total lights. 2 of these floods and 2 same type spots. A junior high student could have machined them better. All 4 lights look like they're from the same factory and all four needed work to be used. Mounts don't fit, wrong bolts, mis-drilled, untapped holes partially filled with powder coat, etc. You get the idea. I wouldn't recommend these to a friend if I wanted to keep that friend as a friend... Don't buy unless you have more time than money.
