Dry but edible

The texture is a bit looser and gritty. It has a dry finish. My 2 year old will eat classic smooth nut butters with a spoon. I bought this in hopes that I could cut the corner off and she eat it directly from the pouch. She will eat this but only about 1 tablespoon. This mixes nicely with honey but still had a dry finish.

These are packets of the peanut butter that seems to have none of that junk that big corporate entities put into products these days. Squish the packet around a little before you open it and then enjoy. I bought this particular unflavored version as a welcome home gift for a dog my sister adopted, to put into a Kong - he loved it. But the honey peanut butter is also very good (for humans, at least, I don't know if dogs should eat honey).

I wanted so badly to like this peanut butter. I wanted an easy to eat on the go peanut butter in a squeeze packet, which this is. The problem is it tastes TERRIBLE. As soon as it enters your mouth it seems to suck all of the moisture off your tongue. Leaving you with the nearly impossible task of swallowing the chalky remnants of what they refer to as peanut butter. The only thing I like about this product is the convenience and ease to carry and dispense it.

Received this less than one month before it's "best by" date. I realize many packaged foods can safely be consumed after this date but I'm not spending money to help someone rotate their stock. This should have been disclosed in the description so I could make an informed decision.

The peanut butter is first rate. the packaging is awful. I used these on a hiking trip and the foil packets are sharp and wide so getting the pb in your mouth is an exercise in not cutting your lips, especially while hiking. The correction might be in tapering the top to a smooth non sharp narrow opening like a bottle neck. Great PB
