I own one and it is easy to set up.

Clam is light enough for me to carry approx 34lbs. Set up was very easy for me, a 66 yr old geezer. Watch the set up video! Do NOT attempt to stake the outside black rings with the provided plastic spikes. They are for the inside, at least in my case I broke the outside black ring. No stake out was necessary to push the center up. I can't believe how easy. Zippers are 1st quality and all components look good. Many on my trailer (Casita) forum use these shelters without complaint. Bug screen is durable but lets little air in if there is no breeze.
Would buy again with confidence,

Mark

IT WORKS!!! 2 minute setup, 3 minute take down (except for rolling it up in the included bag). awkward by myself but not impossible. sturdy, didn't blow around. wish it had 2 doors so I could put one over the tailgate and the other as an entrance on the other side. zero complaints. this is required car camping equipment from here on forever.
I love the Clam!

We bought this last fall, took it to Florida and used it in three different areas. You MUST stake it (we used empty cat litter jugs and filled them with water instead), and it will then stay in place. It is a bit warmer than the outside. During last week's camping trip for five days, it sustained winds up to 19 MPH being held in place with four jugs. Clam furnishes the strings to tie it with. A fan inside it stirs the air nicely. We did not put it over the picnic table as we wanted to use camping chairs and loungers inside it, along with a couple of small tables so four could be in there comfortably. It also fits great under the awning of our RV in case you want to put it there. No rips, no tears and it does keep the no-see-ums out if you keep it zipped up while in south Florida!

Well I must say, I love my Clam- once it is put together properly- it takes seconds or minutes to put up and take down
But I also can't tell a lie- I ordered this off Amazon because it was a few hundred dollars cheaper and I use Amazon for almost everything. That being said, the Clam came to me inside outward- it took me about an hour to realize why I couldn't set the Clam up based off the video on youtube on how it sets up so easily.
The poles belong inside the clam- mine came with the poles outside the clam. I tried to call the manufacturer of the clam, that told me when I buy off other websites the people that ship it and pack it- sometimes don't really know the product and the only thing I could do was physically take it apart and put back together- Yeah, not so funny because this took me hours. I would have paid the extra cash just to get it sent properly and not have to spend so much time fixing it. However, once it is together properly- it literally takes a few minutes to set up and bring back.
My advise buy from the Clam corporation to ensure it arrives ready to set up
Clam can't seem to catch assembly errors in their products

I don't ever post comments, but I had to with this one. I am so excited to use my new Clam but, for the first time in my many years of Amazon purchasing, I suffered with this purchase. I watched Youtube videos of how to set the screen tent up and it was so easy! I opened mine and something was amiss. I laid it out flat, or tried to, and there was a glitch. In one corner, where 4 poles come together, somehow the poles had been installed improperly and overlapped somehow. The tent wouldn't open all the way. So, given that I can make almost anything work, plus I had total faith in the value of the product, I began trying to figure out what was wrong. I ended up popping the ends of the four poles in that corner, and it turned out 2 of them had been installed over the others when they should have been installed under (or vice-versa for the other two). The 45 second promise stretched into 3.5 hours to figure it out, pull the poles, reset the material, and reset the poles. Three and a half hours! I think most would have sent it back but I have a camping trip planned in a few days and that was not possible. Very sad that the QA/QC at Clam missed this one and, based on other similar comments, it seems that catching assembly errors is not Clam's strong suit. I only hope I don't find additional problems on the trip when it gets in full use.
