These are the smaller, clearer yellow type of Mayobocas. Some varietals can be bigger and greyer in color. These are the prettier ones. They seem fresh because they don't take overly long to cook and hold their shape, if that's what you're looking for. And this is the best price in my universe.

These cooked up super easy and were just delicious

This has got to be the very best bean I have found. Being raised in the country I enjoy fresh peas and beans. Living in the city makes it hard to find fresh so dry is now the norm.
You can find these priced from $2.50 to $5.00 a pound. They are now raised in South and North America, but all seem to taste the same but the size varies. When soaked and cooked they turn out a very smooth and buttery texture with a very light bloating (if any) compared to most Beans. The largest are the size of the of the Big Red Beans used in the Famous Red Beans and Rice of South Louisiana. Mixed with pork and seasoning the Yellow Beans will out do any bean I have found.
Do not be surprised to find them under different names, Yellow, Cannery, Peruvian, Mayocoba and maybe some other names or spelling.
Try them even Mikey will like them.
