This thing is fantastic! Love, Love, Love it. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. I'm not sure why I didn't get this sooner but I should have.
If you want a press to pass on to your grandkids, this is the one!

Well made! - tube and threaded end caps are aluminum, plunger is hard plastic as is the handle extension, but is is dense well made plastic.
Very easy to use, has a good instruction book that comes along with it with some recipes to start you off. The basic recipe is delicious but is more of an Italian biscuit cookie to serve with coffee than a holiday/dessert cookie. Works with all my favorite spritz cookie recipes. Comes with all the basic shapes you need to get started. Will be using for years to come!

I got it as a Christmas gift--after grumbling for the 10th year in a row how I HATE my two old presses when it was cookie-baking

I hardly ever write reviews but I had to rave about this cookie press. I got it as a Christmas gift--after grumbling for the 10th year in a row how I HATE my two old presses when it was cookie-baking time a few weeks ago. Whipped up some butter cookies last night. By FAR this was the easiest press to use. I was done in no time. I tried different disks, and all were cute and even. It seems like a study construction, too. I would recommend this to a friend.
Excellent

I have had a small at-home baking business for years and have used many cookie guns, cookie cutters, etc. This cookie press is by far the best I have ever tried. My friend loved it so much, she ordered her own. A must have for butter cookies
Better Press, Better Cookies.

I've been through at least 4 cookie presses in the past decade, all of which have been relatively expensive and supposedly high-quality". After losing yet another one this past Christmas, I decided to spend a bit extra in hopes of not having to replace it next year. I've used this press 4 times now and it is absolutely fantastic.
The press is easy to use, easy to clean, and the different plates are easy to change out. With the other presses I've used (and owned) in the past, it usually took a few tries before depositing a "full-sized", even/symmetrical design; with this press, however, it will dispense the shape correctly the first time and keep dispensing evenly until there's no more dough left. This makes this press not only less frustrating, but also improves the overall quality of the cookies because you're not having to scrape partially deposited or uneven dough off your baking sheet so that it can be run back through the press, a process common with the other presses I've used.
Ultimately, this makes for a final cookie that has a better texture and noticeably more tender (having to reload the other presses with dough thats already gone through the deposited further develops the gluten in the flour and toughens the cookies). Since most recipes for dispensed cookies are heavy on butter, it's important the dough stay cool and not be handled excessively so the butter does not begin to melt. The reliability and design of this press means your dough will stay cool, the butter won't begin to melt from spending too much time at room temp or as a result of the need to load the dough into the press over and over again as is the case with other cookie presses.
