We didn't get a chance to use this until after the return window, and the wood is chipping off of it. Really not great quality, not strong enough to stand up to cracking nut shells. It also has a rancid oil smell from the finish, which tells me it has been on the shelf for awhile. Overall not pleased.

Beautiful nut cracker! This is going on my list of items to give to people when I need a creative gift. Would definitely buy again. I bought it for my daughter and she loves it and can easily crack nuts with it. It's larger than I expected and fits even bigger pecan nuts. Wonderful product.

I bought all three mushrooms. I couldn't decide between the colors. (Red cap, dark brown cap, and natural hard wood lighter cap) They are all so cute in their different way. I figure we would utilize them all. with 6 kids in the house they are bound to want to crack a Nut at the same time. And I was correct! The youngest (two years old) needs a little help with the final twisting that cracks the shell but all the other children can safely and easily crack a Nut on their own. :) the price is excellent (around $8 - $9) as well as the quality. I definitely recommend these cute little nutcrackers!

awesome little product. we discovered a walnut tree on our property, and we harvested a ton this fall. but, our standard seafood cracker didn't do the job well on the nuts. so, i bought this cute little mushroom, and it works fantastic on the walnuts! we just line up the seams with the impinging screw, twist to crack the nut, then reposition and repeat until the nut meat comes right out. great for cracking the shell without crushing the nut meat. the screw thread nearest the bottom is wearing away a little, due to the fact that's where the screw contacts the shell, but that does not affect the performance of the unit. easy to use, the cap of the mushroom fits int he palm of one hand while the other hand cradles the body. my 8-yo daughter has a blast using this herself. cute, decorative, and functional! love this.
