Sharp and effective.

Plaque formers unite! If you are at "at home scaler" you need bot buy this or a similar one. Keeps the plaque down between hygienist visits.
VERY SHARP BUT VERY GOOD!

It's REALLY sharp but it is night and day better than anything I have ever used before. Works great but be careful and don't run with scissors or this scaler in your hand!
Good, reliable brand

I am not a dentist. Got this to scrape some plaque off my kids' teeth between visits when needed. It works. My hygienist recommended this brand.
A Great Scaler for Occasional Home Use (but read before ordering it for home use!)
Anne P. Mitchell•June 20, 2016
This is perfect for what I needed it for: scaling around the contacts between my teeth in between prophy appointments. I have a permanent lingual retainer, which makes flossing near the top of my lower teeth impossible (I use a proxy brush to get in between them, but it's impossible near the top), and so staining occurs near the contacts. At the advise of my dentist, I picked up this scaler to address that.
That said, I used to work in a dental office, and so have both a healthy respect for how sharp these are, and the damage one can do if used improperly. So, if you're not a trained professional, please talk with your dentist before using this on yourself, and have them or their assistant or hygienist show you how to use it without damaging your teeth or hurting your gums.

Great quality, but be careful!

Very good quality, if anything i'd say it's a bit dangerous for home use. This thing is sharp as a razor. If someone at home isn't careful they could really hurt their teeth. Other than that, it works really well, great quality.
