Work great for gun cleaning
Stody•December 20, 2016
Not much to say arrived on time and is exactly what is in the picture. Work great for gun cleaning.
Both the cotton swab and the wood stick are useful in artwork

Very handy extra long "Q-Tip" type swab with a wood stick handle. Both the cotton swab and the wood stick are useful in artwork!
I think the government loves me.

Best for cleaning my ears, guns, or anything that needs a minute application of salve, grease, whatever. I used these wood stick cotton tipped things as a child but some idiot children insisted on ramming them in and busting their eardrums so my guess is the industry and government decided they were too dangerous to sell at the grocery store. On a positive note, my ears have never been cleaner and on a negative note, I think the government loves me.
Good Quality Extra Long

These Cotton Tipped applicators are longer than regular at six inches and they come in very handy for multiple uses. They can be used for cosmetic purposes, or personal cleansing purposes. However I like to use them for household cleaning as they easily reach into tight spaces, like behind faucets to get out gunk. That's just one example, they are very handy and I keep some with my cleaning supplies so I have them available when needed. Also I must add they are quality applicators, they stand up to hard work.
Disappointing

I agree with the critical reviewers. The cotton tips are very thin and more pointy than fluffy. They might be good for some uses, but do not work for me. There is so little cotton that they become soaked immediately, and then they are just sticks. I would never recommend cleaning a pet's ears with these, as someone asked in a question. You could end up poking the ears with a barely-covered stick. I definitely would not compare these to regular Q-tips. But, they are cheap, so if their marginal quality will work for you, buy them. Otherwise look for better ones.
