Does not appear to be compatible with Windows 10 or just does not work at all

The product does not work as promised. Apparently, it is not compatible with my Windows 10 operating system. I can record movies but I cannot edit unwanted clips, create scenes, or make any other modifications to the movies.
I have called Corel at least 4 times in the last 24 hours; they either hang up on me or tell me they cannot help me. Rather, I should expect a call within "the next 2 hours".
If, in fact, it not compatible with Windows 10, that should have been made clear on the Amazon website when I purchased it.

Despite saying that this software is compatible with windows 10, it failed to load. After seeing all the one star reviews, why did I purchase it?

I had an older version of Dazzel device before. Its in my garage some where and I needed to convert a 8mm video now. So I order this Dazzel capture device. I am running Windows 10 Pro OS. When I connect the device to my USB port, it when through configure the driver for it. When the computer finish installing the driver I use my File explorer to see if it was there, nope. Next I try to install the software, it will not let me, keep saying I never Direct X, which my OS has Direct X version 12. I contact Corel for help, it was slow reply. I decided to return this device.Couple of week wait for help and the problem was not resolved.
I have Nero video capture software and it doea not see the Dazzel device.

It's ok for transferring VHS to DVD. Not gaming. Image quality remains the same.

This product is great for converting old VHS tapes over to digital format, but don't expect good digital quality even on HD settings.
To be honest the 'newer' Dazzle video capturing devices are just re-distributed hardware and software from when they first hit the market.
The claims on the box and descriptions of this product are very miss leading. It will not improve the quality of any video being captured.
In case anyone is wondering if this device would be good for capturing retro video games using A/V or S-Video; It's not. The best settings do not help in the slightest to improve video quality and frame drop is a problem.

The software has some very nice features for transitioning scenes, sounds/SFX, and DVD menus.
However the software is from 2013.

I gave this product a 3 star because it made it possible for me to transfer my VHS tapes to DVD and even though the image quality remains the same it's nice to have them on media that isn't already 30+ years old.

Also. I feel the product is not worth the price listed ($40+S&H). $25 at best.

Easy to setup and use. The software is basic and easy to use, The tutorials that are linked to the help screen are easy to follow and understand. I have converted about 25 VHS tapes to digital over the past 3 weeks. Each project has become easier with more experience. A more serious user who wants to go farther than I am, may want to consider the software upgrade. However, the basic package perfectly serves my purpose,
