I have always used recipe boxes to store my recipes. I find they take too much room and I always take out the cards and lose them. I ordered this hesitantly and purchased 2 additional packages of cards and refill pages. WOW!!!! Perfect amount for this binder. I have already started adding recipes. You do not need to take the cards out to read them and you don't get them dirty handling them. You can see the front for ingredients and then turn the page over for the directions. The pages are easily wiped off. The category separators are perfect. I am ditching my recipe boxes and may end up buying another one of these when this one is full. I also can keep it up on my counter because it is very attractive. Don't hesitate to buy this.....it is well worth it. Very happy with this item.

Got this as a gift for a good friend of mine has been dating a guy that values a home cooked meal, and suddenly she needs to know how to cook! So for Christmas, this will be hers. I love that there are so many sections! Not only are there commonly placed sections like "poultry", "side dishes", "pasta", and "soups", but also "beverages", "sauces/dressings", "dairy/eggs", and "fruits/vegetables". Overall there's 12 sections, and that to me suggests this could last her many years. The 40 included cards are enough for me to write out a few recipes I know and treasure, plus a few highly recommended that I know she'll love to explore, and still have lots left over to use herself.

Others mentioned issues with the binder mechanisms, but I found no problems here.

I wish it had more pages,, or spaces to add more, but the recipe cards are sturdy and attractive. Nice size and great gift idea for a Bridal Shower, New Home, New couple, child's first time living alone... My son loves it:)

I bought this recipe book for my daughter. Her sisters and I are throwing a bridal shower for her this summer, and we sent cards that match this book to all of the invitees, so we can make up a book of tried and true recipes for her. This book has nice, heavy covers, and rings which are very solid. It comes with 40 plastic pages into which the recipe cards slide and dividers for sorting the recipes into categories. The design on the cards which match the book (one set comes with this book) is very light, so it doesn't interfere with reading the recipes. Excellent gift for yourself or others!

This is a super cute way to organize your recipes! Each page holds two cards and there are different tabs to choose from like breads, poultry, dessert, etc... To file them under. I bought this one and another one for my sisters for their weddings and filled it with my favorite recipes. I like that you can buy refills too if you wanted to add more pages. I think this is way better than a recipe box because it stores more efficiently!
