I was not expecting miracles, but this does a pretty good job. I am cleaning out 12" + culverts partly clogged with sand runoff.

I use a high pressure Honda gas powered pump, 1" fire hose, 125gal water tank. It takes patience but it does work. A typical culvert needs about three tanks of water.
Does what it says.

Works great. I have good h2o pressure. So it was no problem.
Really effective!

As an alternative to devices designed to be used with a high pressure washer, I thought this performed very well for my use. The first thing to understand is that you're tied to the incoming water pressure delivered to your house garden hose. Mine is around 60-70 PSI which I believe is considered normal residential pressure. This item definitely sprays a lot of water through its several small holes/jets and should be good for clearing various types of debris from pipes or other enclosed areas. In my case, I used it in a 4" pipe outlet connected to my foundation drain tile. It had become clogged with clay soil and was not draining properly. Now mostly because it was clay, the pressure alone was not enough to clear the pipe. I had to manually poke at the clay lumps with a long stick of 1/2" PVC to loosen them, then send in the drain blaster nozzle and move it back and forth several times to slowly work out the clumps of clay. So by repeating this process several times I was ultimately successful. I don't have access to a high pressure washer and didn't want to invest in one although for the price of this item, probably could have bought a cheap one for not much more. The high pressure washer and associated nozzle combination would probably have been a quicker/better solution, but it was easier to just buy this and screw it onto the end of my garden hose. In the end it worked well enough for me. Others situations and results will vary but this is a quality product that performed well and as expected. I read that someone had wrapped electrical tape around the nozzle and hose to keep it from catching on things and I did this since it seemed a very good idea. I think it probably helped a few times. Last thought... it wasn't powerful enough to 'pull itself along' inside the pipe. You have to feed it by pushing the hose just like you'd expect, but... it's not hard to push the hose into the pipe. I suspect the water jets help quite a bit between the backward pressure and constant water lubrication of the pipe.
