Good Stuff

I have 1 and a 1/2 TBS. of Great Lakes Gelatin in the afternoon in the form of mixing it with juice and refrigerating it so it gels up and tastes like Jello basically.
I use also 1 Tablespoon of Great Lakes Collagen Hydrolysate (not this product!) with my coffee in the morning. There is hardly any difference in taste - however I say that in context of not being a coffee snob. It tastes slightly more milky to me.
The people who complain about trying to mix Gelatin in beverages don't realize that gelatin gels - it's not meant to be ingested that way. Get the Collagen Hydrolysate if you want to mix it in beverages.
I did have some knee problems (age 50) - I ran on curbs in the city 10 miles a week. Then, I put my treadmill at my work and ran on it instead. I no longer have joint problems but I don't know if it's due to these joint products that I began at the same time or due to my treadmill change.
My knee problem is disolving

I just started on this product about 2 weeks now, I used to use the green can that tells you to use two heaping tablespoons twice a day which equals 4 tablespoons, but this one is half the dosage, and yesterday I ran my usual 4 miler HIIT but when I first started, I realized I forgot my brace, why - because my knee was not bothering me. I continued the run and I am happy to say, my knee is not stiff and sore, but still flexible and not sore. I will continue using this to see if I can finally put the knee brace away for sure.
A great protein source

This gelatin has been a great tool in getting my kids to eat more protein without the taste of meat. I use it in homemade fruit snacks, and it gives them more protein than a yogurt for their afternoon pick-me-up. I use it for homemade marshmallows, jello and a quick substitute when I don't have bone broth to drink. It is helpful with strengthening joints, weight loss and the health of hair and nails. Seriously amazing stuff! There's 6g of protein per Tbs. of gelatin powder. It gels quickly so I recommend heating part of the liquid you are putting it in as well as having an immersion blender (or a really quick, strong hand to whisk). Just a small warning with the fast gel action - it will clump if you add too much and don't start stirring right away. I highly recommend it nutritionally, and for that reason I give this product 5 stars.
Gelatin Instead of Surgery

In 2013, I was told that due to degeneration of my knees, I would need knee replacement, probably within six months. I decided to do something about it, and bought Great Lakes Kosher Gelatin. I started taking two tablespoons morning and evening, softened in broth, water, whatever, and then heated gently until it JUST melted. Within six months, my knees were no longer hurting. I was able to reduce the amount of gelatin to 2 tablespoons in the evening, fixed similarly. It is now 2.5 years since I was supposed to need surgery within six months, and I'm still doing quite well. Obviously, there's no guarantee that this will work for everyone, but I figured adding something healthy to my already healthy diet was worth a try -- and for me it worked. I also use gelatin to thicken gravy and homemade coconut, almond, or pecan milks and as an extender to make my cashew cream go a little farther. Love this stuff!
Juice jello

I use it to make juice Jell-O. Two tablespoons per quart. Usually ends up diluting the flavor of the juice somehow, but my kids And husband I'll like it. My mom mixes it with her nine grain cereal "“ not to gel it, but just for nutrition and go through it quite quickly.
