Easy to use; Baby loves.

This wrap was so easy to use and put on. You literally don't have to tie anything. My baby loves it he falls asleep almost immediately once he's in it because it feels like a big hug!
The Baby K'Tan has its advantages, but it is not my favorite carrier...

I own several carriers...and although this one is not my favorite overall, there are several unique qualities that make it worth considering if you're in the market for one...
1. I live in the midwest where the summers are not only hot, but generally humid as well. The Baby K'tan Active is made of a mesh fabric that is light and breathable.
2. As compared with my full stretch wrap and ERGObaby carriers, this gem fits right into a built-in pocket/pouch and has a permanent spot in my diaper bag. This is especially great for those times where I am not necessarily planning on baby wearing but end up wanting to for one reason or another.
3. No wrapping. No extra layers. And it is available in a few cute colors :)
There are a few of reasons that this carrier is not my favorite...but those have more to do with personal preference based on comparison than anything else. If this is your only carrier, you may not know the difference! I'll outline those below as well:
1. I prefer the stretch wrap over the K'tan for carrying my newborn. I simply didn't feel like I could adjust or tighten the K'tan as much as I wanted for a newborn carry.
2. Ironically, I find that I do a lot more adjusting and playing with the straps on the K'tan than any of my other carriers, including the stretch wrap. It just has a tendency to bunch up, which can make it a bit uncomfortable. But, obviously...not uncomfortable enough for me to not use it.
2. The manual and website say that this can be used for an outward facing front carry. I tried it once and although it "worked", it was not comfortable at all and I ended up supporting my baby as though I was holding her because I didn't feel very confident in the K'tan for that particular carry.

Excellent lightweight option for summer babywearing
Cindy✓ Verified Purchase•October 24, 2023
I purchased this wrap for a cooler summer alternative to my structured baby carrier, and have really had a great experience with it so far. I bought this for a slightly older baby - 10 months old - so don't have experience using it with a newborn.
Pros:
Fabric is very breathable. I could feel the breeze coming through when it was stretched to a single layer, so I was able to stay about as cool wearing my daughter as I feel carrying her. Still warm, but you'll always be toasty with a little furnace strapped to you
Color was gorgeous - bright, just what I wanted
Easy to use. It took me a few tries to get it really right, but I felt like I could use it right away without any help. Not nearly as intimidating as regular wraps
Portable. It folds up small enough that I can easily stick it under the stroller or in my diaper bag. The waist strap, which you use for the older baby carries, has a little drawstring pouch that you can use for storage. I just tied the ends of the strap and can wear it like a shoulder bag. Bonus: I can keep my phone in the pouch when I'm wearing her.
Comfortable. I wore her for hours at an amusement park in mid-summer and we were both fine. It did a great job of distributing the weight so I didn't have a sore back like I sometimes do with other carriers. Some other reviewers had issues with pain, but I think it just needs to be adjusted properly.
Cons:
Sizing is a little tough. I read through everything and felt good about ordering a medium, but sent it back for a small.
A little too stretchy. My daughter is a little older and more active, and with all of her stretching around and wiggling, paired with the stretchiness of the fabric, I had to adjust her several times to feel like she was secure. My sister has a cotton K'tan, and it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue.
Some of the carries don't make sense. There are a few I haven't figured out comfortably, but I haven't watched any videos to figure them out. Maybe that will help.
Overall, I love this carrier and use it almost exclusively for wearing her now. It's adaptable, comfortable, and cute!

Great wrap for hot natured babies- easy to use!
J✓ Verified Purchase•October 14, 2023
I purchased this item for our second baby, who is extremely hot natured. It's in the 80s most days now and he loses his mind about five minutes into being in his car seat. I received a really nice carrier (much more expensive than this one) and I think he'll like it once he can face out, but in the meantime I needed to find something he would tolerate and so I could get things done, hands free.
I was a bit hesitant to try this because it was on the more expensive end of the wraps I was considering- but I am SO glad I did. For one thing, it's pretty easy to use. I was awkward with it the first two times I used it- now I feel like I'm a pro. It was certainly worth the price I paid for it.
Our baby boy doesn't like to have his head tucked down into the side (like shown in the pic of the blue carrier), and he really only likes to have his feet dangling out- not tucked in the infant positioning. Since he is only six weeks old, he still doesn't have much head control, but using the sash for additional support is really all he needs. After a while, baby settles down for a nice nap. It is also a very soft and stretchy fabric. It is exceptionally comfortable unless the fabric gets bunched up or twisted. (you can prevent that by untwisting/untangling before you put baby on; you'll need help probably if you've already put baby in the wrap)
I definitely recommend watching a few of the videos that are available to get the hang of positioning baby in the wrap and for trying any of the wrap variations.
I will say that it might not be the only wrap you need- especially if you and your partner are not the same size (like me and my husband). I still really like our other carrier and I don't really think this wrap replaces the other. Our other carrier is structured and would be great for a long day of carrying a heavier baby- (hiking, shopping, wine tasting?)- because of the additional back support.
