Massive upgrade to my home computer sound system. I record music as a very casual hobby. Before I got these, I was using generic computer speakers. I can't believe how clueless I was! My recordings sounded fine through those speakers. Now that I have real monitors, my recordings sound worse and that 's a good thing! I can now hear all of the subtleties and errors I was making while playing and mixing. These monitors have helped me improve my recording and mixing. The only thing I don't like about them is the auto on/off. I would prefer it if the sound started coming out of the speakers at the same time I start the music.
