Amazing part!
Kelsey•July 26, 2017
Too bad I cant leave 10 stars! This product is amazing! My seat broke like everyone else. Wobbling all over almost causing me to get into accidents. I ordered this. Came in 2 days. My dad installed it for me without having to take the whole seat apart. Only took him 1 hour!! The seat is more comfortable than it was before!!!
You can do this yourself!

It's fantastic to find an aftermarket product like this that fixes the manufacturer's mistake at a fraction of the price of taking it back to Nissan to be fixed. Im reading Nissan quoted $1500, but I didn't even bother checking. Under $100 for this? Perfect. It shipped very quickly, and once it arrived I used the YouTube video entitled "Murano Seat Bracket Link Assembly Removal/Replacement" which was very detailed. The product is very well made and looks to be better made in every respect than the failed bracket once I could compare both of them. The hardest part was pushing and holding the foam back in order to remove the nuts under the seat bottom. A set of metric flat ratchet wrenches makes this possible, and I would go further and recommend a set of wrenches where the head flexes also. I think if the wrench head could flex a little, then holding back the foam wouldn't have been that hard. I saw these at HD when buying my set but made the mistake of buying the regular ones. Still, no big deal, the ratchet set worked. Specifically only needed the 12mm and the 14mm wrenches. All in all this job took me around four hours from opening the drivers door to closing it after the job was done. Fantastic, I would absolutely do this again.
Decent part

This will save you tons of money when you nissan seat breaks, when not if. I wouldn't consider this a diy repair for most people. It is a chinese dorman part but it is thicker, stronger than the junk nissan used. I didnt find the ends welded on straight, looked like a possible issue and returned the first one i ordered. The second one was worse: i decided to proceed with the repair and cut it apart then reweld if nessasary. It turned out the crookedness i was concerned with caused no issue and works good the way it is.
Not square

Purchased this APDTY and a Dorman seat bracket at the same time as I thought I may need one for front and one for back on my 2007 Murano. APDTY was the first to come out with this bracket and I was hoping it would work, but good thing I did buy the Dorman, as this APDTY brand bracket was not square where the seat frame attached and came apart when I tried to loosen it up.
Both the APDTY and the Dorman were stiff out of the box, and when I tried to loosen the APDTY up, it came apart at the hinge. Dorman was stiff too, but loosened up once I extended it a few times. Ended up returning this APDTY and kept the Dorman.
BTW, if you attempt to do this on your own, in hindsight it's super easy. Took about two hours to take it apart, and about 15 minutes to reassemble. Many YouTube videos out there, just be careful, raw metal edges are sharp.

By nature of where this thing attaches on the bottom of the seat - it didn't go on easily, but after a hour of busting knuckles and sweating, the old, sheared bracket was off and this one was reattached.
The seat has not moved a bit since then - whereas it used to shift, move and bounce with every time you sat it in, hit a speedbump or took a turn.
In short, if you are moderately handy - you can do this yourself and save a lot of money. The bracket itself is much bigger and stronger and I don't think this one should ever give me any problems.
