I use this mat to keep my computer chair from ...

I use this mat to keep my computer chair from sliding across the (slightly unlevel) floor in my room. It works well for this, so I can't complain. The mat is very dense and has a layer of what seems to be rubber on top. This same rubbery material lines 2 sides of the mat, which come down to a tapered end. The only thing odd is the other two ends. One side seems sealed to a taper, but the other side seems unfinished as it does not taper. Not sure if this is intended or a defect. Nevertheless, it works well for me.
