The squeaker is annoying at times but if you play with it long enough it dies and you can still play with it. I've purchased many times in green and blue.

My lab who just turned one is a loving dog but destroys every toy. So far we are day 2 and it's shows no signs of any problems. He has played with it non stop for these two days. I know it's only day two, but if you have a dog like mine that destroys toys in minutes or hours this is a big deal. He is so in love with the squeak and the lightness of this football. He plays with us and also plays alone - having a blast every minute. He will make sure he carries it with him and has it sit by him if he's not playing with it. It's super cute. I am going to purchase another one just to have a back up if something should go wrong, however I am feeling confident this will last longer than most of his toys. I have to say I was very skeptical of Nerf making a dog toy and I am pleasantly surprised!

The media could not be loaded. So I gave it four stars for a couple reasons. If you've bought the old nerf footballs you'll know this one is not like the old ones. I had a hard time determining that when buying it. But it was the only one online similar. It's fairly large so if your dog isn't large I don't see how they can hold it in their mouth. It's softer than the old ones so not as durable. The squeaker is louder and seems to last longer. Now all that being said, my 130lb dog is obsessed with it. The squeak is almost too much at times but boy does he love it! Because he's so big it fits in his mouth. He's got one corner off already but it didn't inflate or anything. I put a comparison of the old with the new to see the size difference. It's a win for him, which means for us too.
