I didn't have enough of a vent to attached anything to so this did the trick. You screw it to the all and attach the second piece with your duct vent. It clicks on and comes off when you need to clean your vent.

I"ve tried many different brands of these quick connectors, but this one has the very best connection design. All of the others were a big fat fail as they wouldn't hold the semi-rigid hose onto the wall mount. These people got it right, simply screw a semi rigid duct onto the end for a tight connection, mount the other end, and connect it. perfect!

It looks good and the two pieces snap on nicely. The real problem is where you thread in the tube from the dryer into the male piece (not the piece with 2 holes) that snaps into the wall mount. There's no real air lock method about it; you need to create some type of way to keep the air from leaking out.

Installation was a breeze.

You're on your own to figure out how to mitigate the air gaps from the dryer's flex tube inside the male end.

A five-star rating because: (1) the duct-to-wall connector is a perfect fit from the wall connector to the semi-rigid dryer duct (attached to the dryer's outlet), to the exhaust vent; and (2) for ease of installation. The tolerances of the connector are amazingly exact. Only one installation modification is required of the aluminum duct: prying out the rigid connector that normally goes into the through-the-wall exhaust vent (being careful not to distort the duct). This modification enables the bare end of the duct to be screwed into the detachable male part of the connector, allowing for an exceptional fit. I applied a silicone-based sealant to where the flange and the end that goes into the exhaust vent meet. The sealant adheres the female connector to the wall, seals off any air gaps and makes the use of screws unnecessary. The wall transition and the coupling action is good, but the connector doesn't hold flexible dryer duct very strongly. As long as you're not tugging on it it's okay, but it could pop out while you're pushing equipment back into place.
