The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is because I wish they made different lengths. That being said, here we go...For those of you, like me, who think the lace at the top is just lace, it is not. I was skeptical of these because I thought they had a lace only waistband. That is not so. They are basically the fusion shortlettes with lace sewn at the top of them to make them more prettiful (yes, I know that's not a word). I have yet to wear these in the midst of the summer, only on 88 degree Fahrenheit days. I also haven't done a massive amount of walking in these. Thus far, the shortlettes do as they should and prevent thigh chafing. I haven't been overly hot wearing them. I wear my normal undies with these, but that's just who I am and my personal preference. They do tend to crawl up the center of my legs a bit, but it hasn't been nuisance in any way. The waist doesn't roll like my cotton leggings do. The material sort of reminds me of underarmour material. So they feel much cooler than a pair of bike shorts would. I haven't owned them very long, so I am not sure how they will hold up in the laundry, but even if they get me through the summer without the chafed thunder and lighting, I'd buy more for next summer.

I really like these slipshorts. The wide waist band is comfy and doesn't roll on me (and I have a tum). My mom and I were looking for lace slipshorts and happened upon this brand. They do cost a little more, but we like the added cotton gusset, and that they are made in America. The seamless inner thigh is a must. They do the trick for stopping thigh rub with NO COMPRESSION, and I prefer this prettier, silky fabric to other brands I have tried. Got the black which are really pretty (and may return for the dusty lilac!). We read all the reviews and originally each ordered up a size, but both of us decided to return them for the size originally recommended in the size guide. Depends how one likes it to fit. Even with the more fitted size, on me these come up above my belly button (which is fine). For reference I am 5'5". And I gotta love Amazon Prime for returns and exchanges.

The good: they do prevent thigh chafing.

Things I do not like: I bought the size that matched my measurements, and the Classic version fit perfectly. This style falls down and requires constant adjusting. At the same time, when I'm seated, they dig in uncomfortably pretty much everywhere.

I am not a fan of the itchy lace.

They are very loud when I walk.

And, despite having been washed at least weekly for the past four months, the color still bleeds. I always use cold water and take things out of the machine immediately to line dry, and I figured after this many washes it would be okay to put the light lavender undersummers in with other light clothing. It was not, and a brand new dress is now ruined.

I like the Classic style better, though those aren't even holding up as well as I expected for the cost. They are more comfortable and the black color hasn't come out on anything else in the wash, but they are also only four months old and already have holes around the bottom of the legs.

I bought one pair of these when I started showing with my first pregnancy. We were moving into summer months, and all I wanted to wear were dresses, I was hot, uncomfortable and nothing was fitting right. This product actually blew my mind. I have never really been a "dress" girl, I'm always in jeans and pants and typically have only worn dresses if I absolutely have to. After finding this product, (and subsequently purchasing it multiple times), I became a dress girl. My husband even said to me "I have no idea what changed, but all of a sudden my wife wears dresses. I love it!" So, not only did these amazing shortlettes get me through a summer pregnancy comfortably, they kind of changed the way I dress because now I can wear skirts and dresses without being totally uncomfortable. This product is awesome. I've also never written an Amazon review, but this product totally inspired me to...I love it. I can't wait until this summer to buy some more and to get into some more flirty, fun, summer dresses. Awesome, awesome, awesome product. Super comfy, doesn't roll down at the waist, doesn't ride up on the thighs...just great. Super simple product that you didn't even realize you needed. Ladies: YOU NEED THESE! You'll be so happy you bought them. I sure am!!

I am taking a star back. These fit comfortably and look pretty, but you can hear these thunder thighs coming a mile away when I walk. It's like wearing corduroys, they announce my presence. I had to toss them out after one very embarrassing day of wear.
