It was my first time buying furniture from Amazon and a kotatsu, so I was very excited. It arrived on the expected delivery date in its original dirty beat-up box, no protection or padding...but I didn't care as long as the inside content was safe. And unfortunately, it wasn't...the table top was fine but the wooden frame had a big crack. I was so disappointed...Had to tape it back up as soon as I saw it.

Great table! Came in really early heater works great! I live in the U.S so I got a transformer for the heater it was only $30 and works great save your money and buy the 500w transformer and 1000w is not necessary.

Wonderful...absolutely wonderful. Such a simplistic idea that really lives up to the hype. The table and converter ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE COST. I originally purchased this as a Christmas gift for my brother, but this quickly became the go-to spot in our house. While the converter is a quick-buy, I thought it would take 1-2 months for the table to get to me since it's from Japan and that's how long it took other large, international products I've purchased in the past. I was frustrated since I wanted it before Christmas to present to my brother. So when I ordered it on 12/10, the estimated TOA was late January/early February. I was ecstatic and pleasantly surprised when it arrived only 10 days later (12/21/16), right before Christmas!!!
To summarize it all, ridiculously quick delivery, easy assembly, safe, heavenly warmth, and crowd pleaser.

After using this for a couple of months, I can now positively tell you that this is one of my favorite purchases EVER. I use it nearly everyday. It's the perfect height for floor sitting, and it has a fairly decent size table top. It's heavy duty plastic, and the felt cage around the heating element has saved my legs more than once. The heat is adjustable (I typically keep it set on low). With the added converter for use in the states, the cord is very long. I love that I can flip the table top between black and white depending on the room. Warning : if you buy this, prepare to be addicted/not leave it for long periods of time.
