I have a newer F 250 6.7 PSD King Ranch and I purchased the one that straps to the back seat. This dog seat cover is the best!!!! I live an active lifestyle and my Belgian Malinois loves it to. She has the whole back seat and loves to sit by a window and enjoy the scenery. Also when she's wet or full of dirt from playing or hiking I don't have to worry about my seats. The material of this car seat is tough and rugged and I can tell it's going t last a very long time. One of the best parts about this car seat is underneath the car seat they added material that grips to the seat so it doesn't move at all. Even when my dog is up on all fours looking around, she doesn't slide. My Belgian recently was on this car seat for 13 hours straight and this confirmed why I bought this one over other.

The cover even has tabs that go between the top and bottom of the car seat to keep the cover in place. In addition, it has neoprene that cover the bottom seat to again keep it in place.

I'm picky when it comes to my truck and this dog car seat is 5 stars all day long. It has a cost but it's WELL worth the money.

Extremely disappointed at this point but am hoping that will change. Apparently the company had complaints about the non-skid backing that they were using and switched to something else - that does not work. We have one of their original hammocks and I would rate it off the charts, over a 5 even - hence my EXTREME disappointment with this one. I immediately messaged the company and was very pleased to get a rapid response - telling me that the backing had been changed since some people complained that it marked their leather seats, which I still find ridiculous - if I use this one it will slip and my dogs claws will definitely mark my leather seats. I was heartened when the company President, CEO, Designer, Emanuele Bianchi immediately emailed me - but back to deflated when she told me about the change. She did email their warehouse asking if there are any of the "old style" there but I haven't heard back, so for now I have to give a low review... which is sad since other than this change, the product is the best I've seen or tried - it is the 4th and best so far - except for the backing, and if they don't find one of the old style, my review can't change.

We bought this for our 75 lb, very active dog to help give the leather seats on our Toyota Highlander a fighting chance. Previously we had comforters and towels to protect the seat and the dog slid and skidded all the time. As promised, the bottom is non skid and the dog is able to ride without sliding all over the place. So far, the straps holding the hammock to the front seat headrests have held up when he places all his weight on those straps. Mostly the hammock style also helps keep him in back where he belongs...though we make sure he isn't left alone in the car for long periods of time, because he could climb right over into the front if he chose...it acts more as a deterrent than an absolute barrier. The fabric controls hair, moisture and dirt, and is easy to shake out. It's also not difficult to take down part or all of it when humans need to use the back seat...just drop the hammock off the headrests. There are slots for the seat belts to come through so there is no absolute need to remove the device for non-canine passengers. The broad elastic straps that attach the hammock to the bottom of the bench seat could be better made to fit. The hammock comes with no real directions but....you'd have to be a little challenged not to be able to figure out how to set it up. Also, some people have mentioned that this doesn't work well with travel harness systems....our dog already has a harness. We put it on him for car rides. We have a leash wrapped around one of the rear headrests, and we clip this leash to his harness, with enough room to stand and lie down comfortably. This secures him somewhat against accidents (at least he won't fly through the windshield) and lets us use this hammock while still restraining him. It's well made. There were cheaper ones out there but we chose this so that we wouldn't have to put up with flimsy stuff that would be wrecked after a few car rides. So far we are very happy with it and it seems to be holding up well.

First, the good. This cover REALLY holds up! Duke is a 90 lb Great Dane mix who rides in the car a lot. He doesn't usually sit still, and paces a lot, but nothing on the cover has worn out at all. All the clasps have held and no ripped seams or tears in the fabric. The skid-free bottom really helps keep the cover stable, as do the attached foam "pads" that you stick down between the seats. Doesn't seem like they would hold it in place, but they really do.

Duke does not try getting onto the floor, so I've never had issue with that. He is tall and the added leg room the hammock design provides for lying down is GREAT! It also keeps him from trying to lean into the front seat.

The bad? This cover just doesn't cover the entire seat. I have a 2010 Honda Civic...small car. There's about 3" of exposed seat on either end, which really irritates me. I end up putting a sheet over the seat, then the cover, but that sort of defeats the purpose. I also wish the seatbelt openings were smaller. A LOT of hair and dirt get down onto the seat through those holes.

Truly, this cover does not keep dog hair off my seats and floor. I still have to power-vacuum it all up. What it does well is protect my upholstery from dog smell and damage. It also gives Duke a little more room and security that he won't fly onto the floor (although his RuffRider prevents that, too).

A lot of people on prior reviews seem to pick up this product because of wanting to protect their seats from Canine friends. But I was interested in finding something for our rear seat to protect it from our two children, who make big messes. One thing that I wasn't sure about from the description was whether there were slots for seat belts. I took a chance because after shopping around, I still wasn't ready to pay the very high price for custom covers! So I am writing this review in case there are other people interested in this product and are wondering if the seat belts can still be used with this seat cover. This car seat cover can be used with all three shoulder belts in the back of my Subaru Forester. I am also very pleased with the quality and the way this cover looks. One last note is that my Daughters high back booster fits just fine with the cover on as well. I did not try anchors for the car seat latch system, but I think you could slip the anchor strap in where the seat belt slots are, if the anchor spots were close to the seat belt. I hope this helps some parents trying to find a cheaper alternative for protecting their car upholstery. I would buy this product for sure again!
