$4 in New Bern, Nc. Best damn fish sauce you will ever have in your lifetime. I suggest making the trip out to New Bern Oriental Market and buying a case.
I like it

Bought mine at Vons as it was one of only two options. It's not bad! A bit sweeter than most; it has sugar and fructose in the ingredients, unlike some other brands. Not a serious issue though, if you have a recipe with sugar just reduce the amount of sugar you use. Good flavor otherwise. Combines great with sour or sweet flavors.

Mega Chef Vs Giant Octopus

The flavor in this stuff is amazing. I add this to a variety of dishes, stir-fries, bao, udon, and so on, and in every instance it really enhances the flavor. A little goes a long way and the sauce manages to mix well with other seasonings, as opposed to drowning your taste buds in a torrential downpour of fish. The only thing I would recommend would be to look for this stuff in the asian section of your local grocery store where it can be found for about $5 a bottle. Other than that, it's an absolutely flawless bottle of fermented fish bits which I highly recommend to anyone interested in asian cuisine.
