I wasn't sure I was going to like this when I bought it, but gave it a try. It's super-light and thin, but snuggly and warm. We use it year-round in New England and it's fine. Has held up to washing and drying and the queen size fits in my regular size machines, though a little.snug in the washer. Exterior is soft and has held up without a cover just fine.

Exactly what I ordered and very happy with the thickness and softness. Took it out of the bag and all I needed to do to fluff it back out is place it in the dryer for 20 minutes low heat with a bounce sheet and it came out super fluffy and smelling great! I will be ordering one for pur spare bedroom queen size bed for sure!!

Received this duvet comforter yesterday and it is just what I wanted. It puffed up by itself in about 15 minutes and the material feels like good quality. I bought a duvet cover to go with it, with shams, and it looks very warm and plush in my guest bedroom. Has loops on the four corners to connect with the duvet covers' ties, so it does not move around in the duvet cover. I also prefer the alternative down as I want to stay away from the cruelties of the goose down industries.

This comforter is very nicely made and my initial impression is that with a bit of care it will last for a number of years to come. It is important to note that the type of comforter you might find in a department store such as Macy's costs substantially more for a number of reasons not the least of which is quality. That's not to say that this comforter is of poor quality, in fact it is not. You just need to be realistic. For what I paid here on Amazon I think you would be hard pressed to find a nicer one in this price range. It is very soft to the touch and the inner material is held in place with a very uniform and well stitched pattern of boxes that stretch across the entire area of the comforter. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a lightly filled, inexpensive alternative to the sometimes outrageously priced comforters you'll find in high-end department stores. You may want to look elsewhere if you live in a cold region of the country and are the type to turn your heater way down to conserve energy; again, the fill is very light.
