These are great fixtures. Very easy to install. I installed it on a decorative post near the driveway. It remains lit all night and turns off by sun-rise. Amount of light is plenty for its purpose to keep the driveway way lit enough, but no light pollution.
Only one thing the manufacturer could have done better is to provide option of warm white light (2700 to 3000 lumens) or at least sell the warm white bulbs to replace. These lights are right now only in bright white light. Not a big deal for me but some people ( including my kids) just don't like bright white lights.

We thought we were simply replacing a pair of these lights when Hurricane Irma ripped them from our gate columns here in Anguilla, BWI. (The previous model from this company had a sort of panel of LEDs that glowed from the top). The filament bulb in these lights is stunning. The batteries are also amazing, as they have been going strong to 4:30 am. We had a brief panic the first night, as our contractor forgot to turn on the switches. Perhaps that allowed them a full, strong charge the next day - as they have been brilliant ever since. As a note: The last ones were up for 3-4 years, and the lights still glow after the glass being smashed by the hurricane (we nestled them in some potted plants for accents). I hope these last as long without being tested by a Cat5+ any time soon!

Update...Received quickly, well packaged but will not charge in either switch position. (Naturally, right after I wrote this review, I went outside and noticed after the sun had started to set there was light coming from the lantern.) I have tried it in multiple full sun locations and nothing but it is now showing a glimmer of life . I will try it again for the umteenth time.

We bought a pair of these lights for our entrance way. The lights look great and are very bright. Little tough to install into concrete columns as the base and light make using a drill a little tough. Wish the base was a little stronger but great item and price.

Mounted to a flat mailbox column. Only had two mounting holes and would have been more stable if there were four holes. I will see how it holds up and drill additional holes through the base if needed. Previously had electrical light mounted on the mailbox column, but the electrical run had a splice in it. An electrician quote to replace the electrical run and trench a new connection exceeded $500. This was definitely the more economical route.
