My 9 year old son was getting a lot of bumps to the head (and everywhere else) from the ball and other peoples feet, etc. in soccer. But it's his passion so we compromised by getting him this headguard. I like that it was made by NASA materials. It looks great on my dark haired boy and he loves wearing. He says it helps keep him warm in winter. He hasn't used it through the summer yet but we've had a few hot days and he hasn't complained. The added bonus was that after wearing this all of the sudden, he stopped getting into accidents as much (hardly at all)! My guess is that it's a tactile reminder of where his head is at, so it helps keep him balanced.

The product arrived quickly and was in better condition than expected...basically new in original box without wrappings. I purchased this head gear for ice figure skating and got a size 2 that is tight, but will not pop off during a fall and will stretch a little with use. I am mature female and my head is average size. This head guard is padded all the way around; protective of the temple and the lower back of head and especially works well with a pony tail. Not as protective as a helmet, but much less in the way.

13 year old son wears it in goal and field. Looks good & is solid construction. This is the best protection available today that is functional, IMHO. It won't make you too hot, allows you to still head the ball, and looks good enough kids will wear it. Son is wearing biggest size right now (big kid) so not sure what to do if he keeps growing in a year or so. Storelli, consider adding a size 7?

I am an 30 year old adult male. I ordered this because I play soccer three times a week, and I would like to preserve as many brain cells as possible as I continue to play.

I ordered the correct size according to the sizing chart, and the headband fit properly as far as the circumference of my head is concerned. But the band infringed upon my ears. While wearing the headband my ears were bent down. It was very uncomfortable.

Also, the back of the headband juts above my head a ways. I am unsure of why it was designed that way, because the extra material jutting above my head looked odd.

All that being said, I could not place the band on my head in a way where it felt like it was fitting properly.

I would suggest looking at a different headband (Halo or Full 90)
