I had something similar in the past that was treated with a long lasting cleaning chemical. These are untreated as far as I can tell. That may be optimal for some of you but I liked the convenience and ease of cleaning with my old treated ones. Having said that however, these are well made, with thick pads, they are sturdy, and still convenient to use (cleaning both sides of the eyeglass at one time). Just add moisture and clean away. Recommended, especially if you don't want or need any chemical cleaner on the pads!

Okay, I got one of these from a store years ago & gave it to a friend who liked it so much, but when I went back to get one for me again, they didn't have them. I saw this and was thrilled. I've been using soap & water, eye glass cleaning wipes, lens cleaners, etc. This just came in and by FAR is the best for cleaning my glasses. These took FOREVER to get to me, but when they did, I brought them to the office and everybody was like "What are those?" and I was like "They are for your glasses and they sent me like a hundred of them, so take one." Bought these due to all the positive reviews, but I'm not having the same experience. They do an ok job cleaning the areas of my glasses that they can reach, but they don't clean around the edges. These are not a replacement for a good cleaning cloth.
