Impressive stuff - definitely better than 550 paracord.

*Update*: had several interactions with the owner of the company and his team and was INCREDIBLY impressed with the high level of customer service. This guy has his priorities right - and his employees (family) share his same philosophy. Fast, friendly, and professional. THAT , for me, earns that 5th star. Try out his product. It's great in and of itself, but if there's anything you're not happy with, I guarantee he'll try to find out what isn't perfect and make sure you're happy one way or another. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Tough Grid Paracord was recently recommended to me based on my previous purchases of 550 cord, and based on the reviews, I thought I'd try it out. It's definitely more robust than your average 550 cord. That's what you'd expect from 750, right? It's well made, strong, and versatile. Originally I thought I would use it for hanging my hammock, but being a Human of Unusual Size (HOUS), I have decided to leave that to climbing rope to give myself a larger margin for failure. In my experience, Tough Grid 770 costs about twice what 550 cord costs, but it's still pretty reasonably priced. And the stuff IS really strong for paracord. Do you need that strength for stringing ridgelines? I'll leave that up to you. I would assume that based on the quality of the design of this stuff that it would last much longer than 550. To me, that's where the real benefit lies.
*Fair warning* The company DOES solicit reviews and offers free 25 foot hanks when you make a purchase. The review is not a requirement of receiving the free cord, but I think there's a lot of psychology going on here and might help explain the overall high reviews.
That said, I DO think it's a great product and superior to your average paracord. It's up to you to decide if you need that extra engineering in the material based on the project you want it for.

Fantastic As Replacement Cord in Weighted Jump Rope!
Joe Streno✓ Verified Purchase•February 25, 2016
I bought this looking to replace the frayed cord in my weighted jump rope. Works fantastically well. It does not have a lot of stretch, which is actually good for any jump rope, but especially for a weighted jump rope. Also like that it's slightly thicker than the cord it replaced. So only one knot was needed to secure it into the jump rope handles(see photo). It's slightly "stiffer" than the original, but I can live with that. Also love that I can fuse/melt the cut ends to stop them from fraying more or the outer casing slipping down the inner threads. Now I hope it's much more durable as it rotates in the handle.. Time will tell. Oh ... and I have enough for 2 or 3 more replacements down the road, if need be. All in all "” very pleased with my purchase. Maybe Bill & Adam can add "jump rope replacement" to the list of functionality. :)TOUGH-GRID 750lb Black Paracord / Parachute Cord - Genuine Mil Spec Type IV 750lb Paracord Used by the US Military (MIl-C-5040-H) - 100% Nylon - Made In The USA. 50Ft. - Black
Indoor hammock suspension, 230lb load, ~10 nights of use. Does the job fine!
floob✓ Verified Purchase•July 13, 2015
I bought this to finish building an indoor hammock stand (a variation on the turtledog design), and for backpacking uses in general. I read that paracord stretches a bit, and that it's intended for static loads. I thought "Hammocking is nearly-static, and I can tolerate a bit of stretch", so I went ahead with it, but decided to double the cord just in case. I am here to report that I've spent over a week of nights in the hammock over the past month, and the paracord is doing its job very well. It's easy to work with, and absolutely strong enough to hold me up at +230lb. It hardly stretches an inch over a 2 foot length of doubled cord, nearly imperceptible. I think I've used about 25 feet so far.
The photo is of one of the pole suspension cords, shot from underneath, towards the ceiling. I can upload more photos if anyone's interested / confused, just ask for what you want to see. If you're curious which knots I used, you can search for them by name on the "animated knots" website.
Lark's Head: attaches the pole suspension cord to the shackle in the hinge.
Double Fisherman's: to create a continuous loop for the doubled pole suspension cord.
Round Turn and 2 Half Hitches: attaching the pole suspension to the pole. It grips the pole securely, and each side can handle all my weight without slipping.

This is good stuff. I don't know too much about the different types of paracord, but I do know what I want in my paracord; American made, single strand (no knots) solid construction, and a good price.
I did have some issues cutting it. The outer sleeve and inner strand cut at different lengths so burning it was a little different than I expected, but I'm sure his was a user error and nothing to do with the product. I used the cord to make a handle for my ALICE pack. All in all a good product. Very satisfied.

I ordered this without having any prior knowledge of TOUGH-GRID or its products. I was impressed by what I received. I contacted the seller and have given feedback to TOUGH-GRID. This was my feedback: "I have tested your 750 orange paracord, and just received the 25 feet of forest camo paracord that Adam sent. Thank you Adam! I have found that the outer casing or shell of the 750 paracord is tighter, and does not creep or bunch over the inner strands, like some of the other paracord brands. Overall the 750, feels to be the same general circumference as 550 cord, but closer inspection indicates that there are more inner strands packed into the same diameter casing. the inner strands are each three strand, instead of two strand, that some other manufacturers use. There are 11 white tri-weave strands, and a subtle 12 colored strand, in the sample I tested, compared to the seven bi-weave strands in my 550 cord. The tri-weave strands from your 750 paracord pull out easier, and maintain their structural integrity better that the Bi-weave 550 cord sample that I am comparing your cord to. Overall much better product for real outdoor applications, as well as a tighter core/case, useful for crafting, if you are into that sort of thing. (I make rifle slings, and drag handles for my gear, instead of wrist bracelets and key fobs) but the idea is the same." This is not a compensated review, just the opinion of a recent 20+ year military retiree.
