I have only used the cutting blades on this, it cuts nicely thru drywall. I have tried cutting thru hard wood as well, next time I will use something else when cutting thru hard wood (it takes a long time).

I wanted an oscillating tool for over a year. Now I wish I hadn't waited so long to get one. The Porter Cable oscillating tool is powerful enough and easy to use. I especially like the tool-free blade change which allows you to switch blades easily without hauling out an allen wrench. The tool fits nicely in my hand and comes in a carrying case. I wish they had a better organizer for all the attachments, but you can't have everything.
How did I get the small tricky jobs, cuts, sandings, done without this tool!???

How did I get my jobs done without this tool? I've used it 4 or 5 times in the short time I've had it since Christmas. Wow! What a time saver. Does everything it's supposed to quick, easy and perfectly. The learning curve is non-existent after learning how to put each attachment onto the tool head. And it's well balanced and really efficient. Plus after dealing with bigger clumsier tools like large pad, disc, or belt sanders this tool ROCKS! And cutting trim couldn't be easier unless someone else was doing it!

Very high quality and built with ruggedness in mind. The body has a rubberized coating which gives the tool a solid and firm feel with little vibration, unlike other brands. The variable speed is controlled by a detent wheel-type adjustment which stays wherever you select - the tool in operation does not cause the setting to change. Price for the kit which included a case and over 50 blades, sanding sheets, etc. was $99 in November, 2016.

Just started using it and found it to be one of the best tools I ever bought. You really can do things with this that was downright difficult to do before with hand tools. It's great for cut-outs where you need to plunge cut without destroying the inner or outer borders of the piece you're cutting. I love it so far.
