Great product with a few small pain points
Jason Steen✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 10, 2015
Great product. Not a fan of the 6 little rubber stoppers that are included to cap the screw holes that are used to attach the long rectangle gradient filters. I'm also not a fan of how the front of the WonderPana turns without a locking system. Makes the system require 2 hands when adjusting a 145mm Polarizer filter. 1 hand is required to stabilize the WonderPana while the other hand is used to adjust the amount of polarization on the filter. Without stabilizing the WonderPana, you would attempt to change the polarizer but end up turning the entire filter, which will not affect the level of polarization.

Overall a great product and solution to the issue of not fitting a Nikon 14-24mm with filters. I just wish the could make it slightly more usable by getting rid of small parts that are easy to lose and get a locking system to stabilize the front of the WonderPana for 1 handed adjustments on a polarizer filter.
Great option to have, but use with kid gloves

So I got this before I went on my scenic trip to Yosemite National Park. first off, it's extremely expensive, and secondly, the ND filters are enormous! Obviously they are big bc of the super wide angle lens, but they are bulky none the less. I'm one of those photographers that goes into tight places, hikes up the side of mountains, wades in rivers and is up at 4:00am to catch the sunrise. So within a week, I had chipped the filter in 3 places and scratched the crap out of it! I would hold my breath every time I mounted the filter to set up for a shot. Like one other person said, it's hard to get it into the rails and when you do, you have to make sure all the screws are tightened down securely. I made the mistake of keeping the screws set up as it came in the mail, but after the filter dropped out 2 times, I put all 4 screws on the outer tracks. By this time, I already had two chips in it. So be extra careful if you ever have two ND filters in place because that will mean only two screws each will be holding them in place. Due to the design, it won't allow for all 8 screws to be used. The small screws that hold the filter mount on the lens come loose very easily, so be aware that you might have to check them periodically. I lost one already.
My 3rd chip came when I tried to take the camera off the tripod with the filter still in place. I did't have my bag with me, so I was going to carry the tripod over my shoulder and let the camera hang across my body with the filter in place. I also didn't want to remove the filter because I didn't want to get more smudges on it and scratch it as I walked to my next spot to set up. Because the filter is so large, the excess optical glass hit the plate mount and chipped. **Flinch**
The other issue I had was when I screwed the polarizing filter on and mounted the graduated filter over it. It left a round indention on my ND filter. Also with both filters mounted, my pictures all had oil slick rainbow puddles at the bottom. I take a lot of water shots and it looked like I was photographing an oil spill. Really weird! For the $ I expected more.
Also, the filter picks up smudges like white cat fur on black pants! All of a sudden, your filter is all dirty. Bring extra cloths a cleaning solution.
My last complaint was that the mounting rings got stuck on my lens. It stripped and was spinning and spinning. It took a nice guy at Sammy's about 45 minutes to finally get it off. So now 3 pieces (the ND filter, and the two mounting rings) are damaged. So the only thing left of my $500 piece kit is the lens cap. the filter mount and the round polarizing filter. I'll be calling the company for a replacement. I'll update you on customer the service.
Also, I'm bummed that they only offer 2 graduated filters...the 0.9 and the 0.6. I wish they had a 0.3 soft edge, and a 0.9, a 0.6 and a 0.3 hard edge.
If you're a down and dirty photographer who takes risks to get shots, and asks for the max out of you gear, this kit probably isn't for you. Go with the 16-30mm lens and the Lee filter kit, which is also pretty darn expensive, but it's smaller and easier to lug around. I'm glad I have this kit, but I just hope my next experience is a way better one!
UPDATE: Changed it to 4 stars because Fotodiox has such stellar customer service!! I talked to them about the issue and they honored their warranty policy. They took care of it quickly and hassle free! Great company to go along with a great product! Can't get any better than that.
This system is a little bit over-sized but easy to use

This system is a little bit over-sized but easy to use. The quality of 0.9 HE is fine and I personally really enjoy the CPL.

Belows are some testing shoot, which made by myself. The first one is the raw photo (0.9HE + Ultra Slim 10-stops Filter), you can clearly see the color tone is blue and the vignetting is there. The second photo thorough some quick adjustment to fix the vignetting.

In my opinion, this system is a good solution of Nikkor 12-24, even the vignetting is little bit annoying. But overall, you still can make some decent quality photo.
Excellent value for UWA lenses.

Super value for a LARGE filter kit for my Nikon 14-24. Well made metal components. Fits perfect. Selection of filters is welcome with CPL, Variety of solid NDs and ND Grads. Finally have a 10stop ND for my lense. The square filter holder adapters are quick and easy to mount/dismount off the main ring. Glad each item comes with a nice case for protection and storage. I do have a small travel bag that holds everything for use in the field. Haven't noticed any odd colour casts from the ND filters. Service has been superb from Fotodiox with fast shipping and service.
Love it!

I really love this kit. I spent a long time reading between the different filter kits out there for the Nikon 14-24 F/2.8 glass and this one just really stood out.

It works really great on the 14-24 Nikon F/2.8 glass with a D810. The filter is of high quality parts and none of that cheap plastic. It is constructed well and feels/looks great when on the Nikon glass. Makes you look like a real pro holding it!

Yes, it can be a little time consuming putting on the rotating system to hold the big square filter glass, and also I highly recommend you put the filter on before you even go out to shoot. Be careful to not loose the small screws that attach on the sides of the filter to hold the free arc rotating adapter. I really like that the whole kit came with its own little carrying cases for each component so it stays clean and scratch free. Make absolutely sure that you do NOT tighten the filter too much or you may risk damaging the adapter and/or your nikon glass. When putting on also the adapter on the ring, it can also be difficult to avoid having your fingers touch your Nikon glass. You put the kit on with the glass removed from the camera first, and then attaching the glass to the camera body.

The 0.6 SE graduated ND filter is made of quality glass but I feel it is not strong enough for those sunset pictures to really shine. I may just need to get a 0.9 SE one. The circular polarizer it comes with takes some getting used to and really has some very strong polarization settings (be aware to not polarize too much! Take test shots and zoom in!). Handling the filters can be a challenge also since it is so sensitive to dust and finger prints. You constantly have to keep them clean, and I am not even joking about that.

I attached a picture of my sunset shot I did using the 0.6 SE graduated ND filter with my Nikon 14-24 MM F/2.8.

To summarize:

Pros:
- High quality build and quality.
- Makes the 14-24 an even more awesome glass!
- Looks great!
- If you want really the best filter kit out there for your 14-24 mm Nikon F/2.8 glass, this is it. Forget the others.

Cons:
- Time consuming to put on.
- Gets dirty easily (the filters).
- Not necessarily on the cheap side!
- Additional filters are not cheap either!
