I totally recommend Best Shot healing shampoo for pets. Last night my daughter tricked me into watching the Youtube video "vet removes Mango worms from dog". Never start a Youtube search with the words "vet removes", and for the love of all that is good, never ever actually watch any of the videos that search produces. While my rational brain (and google) tells me that my dogs will not contract Mango worms in Kentucky during the winter, I couldn't help but look at my sweet pups and think; they must be cleansed from all evil. I put the smaller dog in the tub and searched for dog shampoo. Interestingly, he stayed in the tub and didn't try to run off when I walked over to search the cabinet. Likely because he recognized that crazy, unstable look in my eyes, and was too terrified to move. I found the bottle of the medicated Best Shot shampoo that a friend had given me and went to work. I thoroughly cleansed one dog, and then the other. I set them free to go about the house, as they had been inspected and cleansed, and could no longer be harboring dangerous worms that don't exist on this continent. I didn't notice the dogs again (I think they were in hiding) until around 2am when I awoke in horror to a dark figure standing over my bed, staring at me and saying "Mom, I had a nightmare." It was my daughter, whose nightmare was no doubt Mango worm induced. As I laid down to sleep in her hurricane of a room, I reached over to pat a sleeping dog. This was when I noticed that their fur was so amazingly soft that I had to re-awaken my dozing child to make her feel the dogs. Anyway, we both finally did get back to sleep. The dogs fur is still amazing and so super glossy tonight, and according to the shampoo label they are also now free of eczema and hot spots (whatever those are). Good stuff!
